I'm trying to find a boxer who supposedly won the Moose Lodge Golden Gloves of West Virginia back in the late 1930's or 40's. He was in prison at Moundsville and he told me that they boxed while in prison and on weekends they would put on fights for the Moose lodge and he told me ho won the Moose Lodge Golden Gloves of West Virginia or some title in Wv. Can anyone tell me or show me a way to confirm this or how to look up old boxing records etc? I've looked everywhere with no luck and of course there are no prison records that I can find from that time. Thanks
