At York Hall, thoughts?
Shame there's not a younger fighter involved but this should still be a decent scrap.

Is there any need for this!

A different Fight to the 1st one. John is an all round better Fighter and could (and Should) easily out box Skelton but if he aint 100% confident and his mind aint right Skelton will bully him and beat him up...

Good quality English title fight.
I imagine the winner will be at the front of the queue to fight for the British title when Price vacates.

Agree Horse,
In Price and Fury we have possibly two top ten ranked Heavyweights. Soon British title will be beyond them, they need to move on.
I think Skelton and McDermott deserve to be in the mix for the Heavyweight title. Off course, Chisora is there and so is Sprott after his upset win.... maybe at a push at the winner of the Prizefighter if British.
This could easily be a semi final for the British title, its a good fight and one thing is for sure, McDermott will do at least a tad better this time.

Is Dillian Whyte banned? And i'd rather seen Towers given the chance

My lad sparred John McDermott and Micheal Sprott today and both looked in great shape and very good, I expect John to outbox Matt in this and in fairness both McDermott and Skelton have earned this fight, they are both along with Michael Sprott and Dereck Chisora ahead of Dillian Whyte, Richard Towers or the rest of the heavyweights in there deserves IMO

aside from the usual rose-tinted nonsense about mcd this is an interesting fight to make.
text book crossroads fight
the first was a classic case of man v boy
has mcd improved since that pasting????? not really
has Skelton declined? yes !
however i take Skelton to win inside 6

I would rather of seen Skelton get another fight under his belt after the loss to Price. Its not the fact he lost but to see if he has it in him to get into shape again.

Solid fight on paper. (especially for an english title)
abysmal viewing spectacle in reallity. see this going to a close points decision either way.

Nah, Skelton's as tough as they come but John's better in just about every technical and physical department. John by late stoppage or points.

I think the British title is beyond both of them now but the English title is quite achievable and Mc D wins it. He is the better boxer and Matt is getting too old to win now by roughing people up.
