i found this interview intriguing. 2 things to look at

#1 - pinto must be good he has an awesom am rec including a ko over cotto
#2 - rib shots aint counted in the pros, does pito have anything but bone on his ribs? can hatton keep inside?

Just reporting what he told me...I find amateur stuff almost impossible to track down. It becomes the stuff of legend - until someone who knows what they are on about tells you different!

I'm pretty sure he'll be here. All the stuff about 'Well, he hasn't shown up yet'...well, why would he, over a week before the fight?

It's a poor show to admit it but I really don't know what Pinto is going to come with. The thing is, whatever he does, he has to be respected!

I wonder what sort of sparring he`s had there in Brazil...?

I saw Pinto win a decision over Emanuel Augustus AKA Burton. As you know Burton is very un-orthodox, and has a good chin, Pinto outboxed him, and appeared quite solid,good boxing skills and athletic ability, but not sensational. Pinto should be good competition for Hatton, but I think Hatton's strength and aggression will be too much for the Brazilian.

Aye, I still maintain Warren wouldn't have wanted this fght so badly if he thought Pinto was a major threat to Hatton.

I have seen Pinto twice and will be putting a few quid on him to KO Hatton...This guy can punch and is decent enough boxer......saying that Hatton really should win this fight at this stage if he is to do anything major.

I just like Pinto for a punchers chance.

I still keep seeing flashes of Robinson v Gatti, but with Pinto's punches making more of an impact than Robinsons did.

This could be one of the fights of the year while it lasts.
