After last night's events, I wonder if opinions have changed.
I've always voted for Fury and that hasn't changed, but I think there is more chance of Fury taking him too lightly.

Price of last night would have got hammered by Fury, i personally thought price looked dreadful last night he usually looks alot more relaxed and focused. He looked like a nervous wreck.

people in the know have told the storys of Prices trips to the canvas in the ABAs,yet the Fury haters/Price nut huggers and respected journalists like big daddy Bunce seem to wanna skate over this fact .
I said on other threads we knew how Fury reacted when put down ,Tyson gets up and knocks them out ,something we didn't know if Price could do,Well Everyone can see now how David Price reacts to being caught as a pro ...simples
I have never said Fury would win a world title ,but i have said from day one that he will beat Price !

You sound very excited.
You're repeating yourself in almost every post, across multiple threads.

Price was never knocked down in the ABAs.
He was knocked down 3 times in Commonwealth Games semi, got up and knocked the guy out.
Cammarelle knocked him down in the Olympics and I think he had a flash knockdown in 4 Nations. But that's it.
Be interesting when Fury steps in with a world ranked opponent who tries to hit him.

Fury has fought better opponents and is ranked higher, especially now!
What is a "real fighting man" by the way? Can only gypsies be "real fighting men"?
Anyway. It will be interesting when Fury faces a banger and has to take a big shot off a hard puncher. Until that happens we can't say how he would react.
He has been dropped heavily and got up to win but that was against poor opposition. It's relative.

They are all real fighting men. Fury is no more or less one than any of his colleagues. Its Gypsy terminology that means little in the "Gorger" world.

Thompson is a banger is he !??
I am sure you will find fury has faced and beaten opponents with the same KO% as Thompson !
Sure Fury was put down against Pajkic but he got up and Knocked him out ,something i dont think we will ever see Price do ;;-)
Besides you would have to be blind not to see the transformation in Furys conditioning since that fight 2 years ago and not to mention he's boxing to a game plan far better now days.
Price might have the power but without the whiskers he and incomplete fighter !

i still fancy Price. Fury has found himself on his ass before. I think Price is technically better than Fury, but hits much harder, but ofcourse, doesn't seem to have much of a beard at all - so i think the fight is very interesting and finely balanced. My gut tells me Price would find a stoppage though before eating any hard shots himself.

Price needs to adapt his style like Vlad Klit did. There is no doubt Price has great technical skills, a devastating punch an natural physical advantages in height and reach.
However these things are pointless if he can't protect his chin better. You will have to be a quality fighter to get to his chin but people above domestic level will.
Vlad has perfected his jab and grab style which I think David needs to copy, not pretty but damn effective.

I never, ever said Thompson is a banger! In fact in other threads I have said the opposite.
I'm not comparing chins here. I have always voiced my concerns over Price's ability to take a shot.
I like both fighters and I'm not one of the modern day boxing fans who treat it like football where you have to pick one and automatically hate 'the other' etc
I think Price could rise from a knockdown against the likes of Pajkic to win. I also think Fury would outwork Thompson and take a decision.
I look forward to Fury's chin being tested. I hope he passes the test too.

ive argued with friends and boxing fans for months and months and I will always back fury, fury is more mobile and can hit aswell, fury gets knocked down but he will get back up that's the difference with price n fury

I said as soon after the skelton fight that price will get knocked out when he stepped up because skelton caught him with shots that no1 else was and he is on his way out the sport.

A pick 'em, wild affair that would surely be all over inside 2 rounds.
What shouldn't be overlooked following last nights drama is the likleyhood that Price can still blast Fury out of there. I'd have to side with Fury's confidence now though.
This was my own poll in December.

Price would KO Fury.
Sadly for British boxing. Neither guy is that good.
Price has the most ability and bigger punch - but no chin.
Fury is too flawed and not the biggest punch - but a better chin and a big heart.

Well we already know Fury can get up and win ,Price cant even get up when being punched up the side of the head

Fury.
At this point I would not bet on Price vs Kimbo Slice.

Watch the video again, mate. Pajkic was never knocked out. The fight was stopped by an excitable referee after Fury twice pushed Pajkic down. Pajkic was ready to fight on.

My opinion hasn't changed. David Price may have been stopped when he stepped up, but he still has big power, that hasn't changed over the weekend. Fury has been put on the canvas by people with far less power than Price.
And are we forgetting that Tyson Fury vacated the British title rather than face David Price? That tells me all I need to know.

for a 23 year old heavyweight, Tyson Fury is progressing well, being moved along nicely and showing improvement in physique, strength, stamina and technique. He is a work in progress and a far better bet than David Price to win a world title.
for my money, Fury versus Price right now could be a case of who lands first. In 2 or 3 years time Fury wins by KO.
