Right so last nights main event was a huge shock to everyone who watched it. I'm suprised no one seems to have mentioned this.

I always felt this would be the best fight of the night and tuned in from the off so I could watch it and boy was it a good one.

Personally think Satchell could have made it easier for himself by keeping the fight at range, but he shown he can stand and trade well on the inside plus take good shots it was a huge learning fight. Big credit to Luke Wilton, Satch admitted he underestimated him and felt he would have had too much power for him, the guy is a machine we will see him in good fights again no doubt.

Interesting that Steve Wood said post fight that he would stay at Flyweight and look to win the Lonsdale belt outright instead of a touted fight with Paul Butler. But Wilton was the only competition in Britian left for him to beat at the weight (Boxrec only lists 7 fighters at flyweight !!! ). I don't know how good the weight is internatiinally but a useful foreign opponent IMO would be a good fight next.

Satchell is a great Boxer..... I think the reason why he will stay at Fly is that there is an EBU Title which will lead onto a world Title where as at super Fly there isn't No EBU Title... If he can make the weight there would be no reason why he should move up a weight yet, he is Big so maybe in 1-2 then he will..

Really entertaining fight, Satchell looks a class boxer at range but last night made it difficult for himself by fighting Wilton inside mixing it up with him, I think if he kept it at range got his combinations off behind his long jab he would of had an easier night. Fair play to Wilton answered everything Satchell had and kept coming forward, I thought it was a lot closer than the judges had it but the right man got the decision.

Iain butcher has his 7th fight on 8th march after that well take the satchell fight if they offer us it .

Kevin had to beat former British champions Martin power and Paul Edwards before he even got a shot at the British title. I'm not sure who iain is boxing next but his calibre of opponent thus far hasn't been anything special

That were a good bout - Satchell is really getting very good - I'd not seen Wilton before but he really got stuck in and tried his very best - he's a good boxer. I enjoyed the bout.

His fight with Paul was for the Commonwealth.. I dont see No reason what so ever why he wouldn't get a shot, there is no other Fly Weights out there.. imo tho he should have another3-4 fights and get more rounds under his belt..

Great fight. Both guys put on a great show.

Satchell looks good but I feel he's easy to hit and at EBU level I think he'll be found out.

imo even at Euro level Fly Weight aint strong at all, if he's to be found out it will be at world level... Take a look at the Euro level

I think the likes of Sarritzu and Oltaneau beat him easy Martin. But who knows just yet. No need to rush due to lack of domestic competition.

I agree Iain has only had 6 fights and more fights would be ideal but there isn't those fight we've asked for both Edwards and guys like shinny Byarr and no one is interested.

Am not saying guys like satchell aren't good fighters am just saying at this stage of Iain's Career he fancies the fight

Spend a bit of money get someone over he needs the rounds, why not a rematch with Phil Smith he only beat him by a round on his own show in Scotland. Why not try and get Luke Wilton to come over.. Charlie Hoy is CLASS will fight at Fly weight for Titles.

We were matched up with Phil smith again and he pulled out offered him a fight after that he said no Luke Wilton a possibility and met francis warren in Manchester last week he recons a few more fights for Charlie afore the would look at a fight with Iain we will honestly take any flyweight / super flyweight .

Well there aint may about so i dont see why the Satchell fight cant be made......

Hopefully that's the fight we hope we get a think satchell needs to stay at flyweight a think Paul butler would be to much for him there's a few flyweight coming through so hopefully The division gets busier .

Haven't see much of any of them But at 35 and 36 at Fly weight my money would ef be on Satchell


Eddie how much was offered to all these imo very good boxers that turned down fighting Iain??
Maybe thats the reason to hard a fight for to little money ad nothing on the line..

Money hasn't been the issue mate cos they've not even got that far just said not interested but like u said there's nothing on the line and everyone is jokeing for position Paul Edwards did say he would take it in the summer but not rite noo don't noo much about sarritzu but oltaneau is there for the taking for satchell only thing mite let him down is experience he's only done the 12 rounds once but it's worth a shot .
