Regardless of what you think about Bunce, I think these phone ins are quite enjoyable and I'd hate for them to disappear due to this type of thing.

no mate if he did i would have just said it was only a joke and nothing personal, i dont dislike him or anything. He was just there for the taking.

I was amused by the bloke who called in talking about how Gary Mason fought "all the top yanks" and had a much better standard of opposition than Bruno. The only remotely "Top Yank" he fought was Tyrrell Biggs, who had been knocked out hard in his last two bouts. There are probably 8 names on Bruno's record as good or better than Biggs, and whilst he lost to a fair few of them, it's comedy to suggest he was protected compared to Mason, who didn't even fight the top guys at Euro level, Lewis excepted.

Thought that was out of order to be honest. Bunce isnt everyone's cup of tea but he was an absolute gentleman to that caller and the insult was below the belt.

Fair point. The meat of my argument stands, however. Bruno faced much better fighters, which resulted in him taking some hard losses, but to argue that Mason faced better competition is nuts.

Absolute garbage. Buncey's very good. He starts a decent debate on boxing and is very knowledgable about the sport. He's been involved for many years and IMO is very good. The fella was a div and just wanted his moment of fame.

Whilst i dont watch due to getting fustrated with the topics going round and round in circles and getting no-where but im all for any tv show promoting buncy and we dont need this. If buncy had slagged him off saying hes and idiot then fair dos but ringing up saying that is stupid

Pretty much this. However you feel about Bunce his phone in shows are a nice addition to the boxing coverage we have and I actually think he's getting much better at taking callers points on board rather than just speaking over the top of them.

The call wasn't witty, an 8 year old could come up with better. Plus insulting anyone behind their back, over a phone line or on a forum is pathetic. Maybe I'm old fashioned for being 31 but if you want to say something like that to someone say it to their face and back it up or don't bother. Dan from Kent basically came across as a pathetic wee eunuch.
