Hope he is able to box again just read he has had all clear from two specialists.
And his hoping the board will green light him .
Always good to watch might need to adjust his style a bit tho taken far too much hammer in the past.
Definitely should seek a more defensive minded trainer if he does continue.

Best of luck to him; I'm glad he's got an 'all clear'; he gives value for money win or lose. Hope he gets a couple of big money wins and is able to set himself up.

Who will he train with Bob Shanon ?Matty Hatton maybe boring but he can protect himself John could benefit from adapting some of his style not too much mind .

There are some good fights out there for him. Rees Mitchell Matthews Crolla all would do well domestically.

If Murray is willing to fight a decent opponent straight away, then Murray vs Gethin is a realistic fight that can be made before Gethin loses his title.

Hatton left Shannon after the Kell Brook fight.

He is now under Lee Beard and in South Africa with him.

Great to watch is John but I fear that is his undoing. I agree with the above posts he needs to change his style.

Love Murray 100% no nonsense warrior. Plenty would have spewed it against Rios taking that type of punishment. He's had a good career to date. Hopefully can go on as he seems a proper lad who loves a rumble

Olivier Harrison would suit John Murray he's a defence minded coach, John has a similar style to Martin Murray

Some great domestic scraps out there for him at lightweight - Would like to see him avenge his defeat against Kev Mitchell though he could have won that if he boxed a bit more clever instead of wading forward getting caught.

Need to adopt a better defense to go with his pressure fighter style - better head movement is a must

It's been quite a while he's been out since the Rios fight. What was the issue preventing him from fighting, does anyone know?

His brain scan showed him to have a swollen pituitary gland. I was at Mick Marsden's (John's manager) gym a couple of week's back and he said it was never severe enough to impact on John's health or his boxing. The all-clear from medical professionals backs that up, but it's a case of whether the board see it that way or not.

There are alot of cases where the Board go on the side of caution and don't give back a licence.
