SecondsOut.com are reporting that Danny Williams is hoping to fight on this weekend's show in Edinburgh in an eight-rounder, but if an opponent can't be found, will definitely appear on the Hatton-Pinto bill in Manchester on April 3.
Let's hope he's shifted some weight. 18st 11lbs for Sprott! That was a joke.

This is getting something of a norm isn't it. Danny is always going to appear on a Ricky Hatton show about a week before, only for the old 'opponent couldn't be found' situation to come up.
Danny should show up and fight even if an opponent is not found. He can get in the ring and kick his own arse in public for losing to Michael Sprott in such a disappointing manner.

From the message header I thought Danny was planning a Naz style over the top rope somersault entrance.
What a sight that'd be - over the top and straight through the canvas!

I wonder what excuse he would come up with for getting beat by himself.
'It wasn't there tonight'

Boxingtalk.net are stating that WBU heavyweight champion George Kandelaki is back in full training for an upcoming defence on May 22 in the UK.
Opponent, Danny Williams.

Sounds like a fair match to me, Has Danny found an opponent for Saturday night yet?

I think your missing the point on the weight issue Bennie, as Danny himself stated the extra weight was there to "deliberately add strength and make him stronger in the clinches", it has nothing whatsoever with lack of effective training and being a fat slob :P

If Williams thought he was effective at that weight he should rewatch the fight! I think he's looked more and more ponderous as he's put on the pounds. He looked far better when he was around 17 stone, much quicker and real snap in his shots. We're going back a while here though, then again he hasn't looked good in a long while.

What, and you believe Danny!

Never believe what a fighter says after he's lost.
