Was always a fan of Fireball Fewkes, he's wasn't a BIG puncher, but he had an excellent workrate and he wasn't easy to catch cleanly (when properly prepared).

Didn't he balloon up to 14 stone? What weight's he competing at?

He's really got the weight off. Last time I saw Fewkey he was massive. Well done.

He got to 15 clem mate. That's big for a little un.

I should have done a proper piece on his comeback but time flies and all that. He tells a good story. Apparently he just decided enough was enough was he was sat at home late at night having a few cans. Kell came on Ringside and Fewkey remembered their days as amateurs together and decided to sort himself out and have another go.

He was in a right rut and I admire him, whatever happens, for getting out of it.

He's at welter which is too big IMO but he'll never see lightweight again.

I know we've always been his two biggest fans

Looking forward to seeing him back in action, I'm curious to see how/if his style has changed.

Fair play, chuffed for him. That's a fantastic effort.

Its easy to criticise, as many on here did when he announced the comeback, but it looks like he's taking it seriously. Good luck to him.

Still think he could afford to shift a bit and there is no way he should be matched in competitive fights at welter however........

Fair play for pulling his life around, getting the weight off and making big strides towards resuming his career. I had serious concerns over his comeback for various reasons and his comeback weight did nothing to dampen those but the photo is very encouraging.

He's not a big guy and given his lack of snap in his shots I think he might be bullied at a certain level above lightweight (where IMO his ideal weight now is) but if his bad living hasn't taking too much of a long term strain he could be an interesting addition at 140.

Whatever, full respect for the turn around in his life. Well done

Well done to him, he needs to keep his weight down in between fights he can't be ballooning he hasn't got time he needs to get on with it, plus it's mentally for him if he starts putting on the lbs, easy said than done tho ! But well done and good luck to him
