Clark - Conception tonight. Vacant Midlands title

just noticed this. Any comments.

I am surprised at a few things here. Clark has racked up 60 fights and he's only 23 or 24. He beat Jonjo Finnegan twice, the second fight resulting in Finnegan getting a bad injury, before which he had only won 3 fights by the looks of it. On paper it doesn't look like a title fight but I can see it being a tough fight as Conception seems to get involved.

Just looked at the bill, another decent small hall title fight Amir Unsworth Vs Chris Truman for 1 of the masters titles - Truman better than his record suggests gave Lenny Daws a real tough 8 rounder

thanks for the update, hopefully he's pulled round. Martin seems to win or lose by KO/ TKO a lot!

Well said. However he tries to dress things he's a journeyman. Conception could always punch. Hope all is well.

It's isn't how you start, it's how you finish. He's a talented lad qudos to him for finding a bit of belief and actually turning up to win. IMO

I cant believe how many picked him. Fair play to him,but he is essentialy a journeyman, Conception was a class am and a very good puncher.

X 2 It was a great fight and Ryan gave it everything he had and he should be proud of what he has achieved but Martin was class tonight but Ryan pushed him hard all the way with sheer guts and determination

Heard Unsworth Vs Truman was (ahem as I predicted) a very good fight.

Anyone who was there care to elaborate?

Unsworth won by 1 point i believe.

This show was class had everything unsworth v Truman was a war controversial decision but Amir deserves some luck feel for Truman because he's a great kid. Steve spence was 7 rounds down and getting outboxed before stopping Steve Swinburn in the 8th. Clark started well against concepcion hurting him in the 1st then concepcion went through the gears and looked class dropping Clark in the 2nd I think but Ryan battled back showing a massive heart and loads of balls there was some great exchanges with concepcion getting the better of them then in round 7 he unleashes a peach of a right hand to drop Clark heavy the ref called it off straight away. What a fight and what a great show.

Sounds like a great show. You couldn't get a nicer couple of lads in spence & unsworth. & Ryan clark. Yeh he is essentially a journeyman but what's wrong with that?he turned it round & you can only praise him for that.if anyone in boxing deserved a bit of success it was Ryan.still one of the hardest bastards I know.feel for him!

As someone who will know more about your own type of role than what most of us would , do you think Ryan may now find it harder to be matched ? thinking in terms of him being on the road , will people now not want to risk him in with their up and comers ? or will he be on the left hand side of the match ups for the forseeable future ?

Sounds a top show - Do feel for Truman seen him box early in his career, think he's definitely a lot better than his record. Fights away most the time, asked a few questions of Lenny Daws. Was also due to box Theophane on the Hatton bill but got scrapped cos they ran out of time!

Hope he has a few lowkey home fights now to get his W/L record and confidence back up and then goes for another belt, Midlands or Masters etc.

Don't think many guys just starting will risk him but soon as your the away boy, results won't go your way.2 or 3 losses & your back where you started

People are talking like he's a serious fighter? Have I got the right Clark (5-53-4)?

Should never judge a fighter fully by his record fella
