Boxing should have more dodgy singers and less anthems.

I had Hatton winning the first and Van Heerden the second

Van Heerden takes the third in my opinion, I'm starting to get the feeling this is going to be a long night for Matthew

He didn't know half of the lyrics and made it up as he went along - and his pitch was
atrocious.

Well done Matt Clarkson - what an excellent win on away soil.

6th round - van heersdan bleeding heavily from a cut over the right eye, hatton lands some good shots getting in and out - manages to hurt Hatton at the end of the round

7th round - van heersdan's cut gets worse but manages to stiffen hatton's legs with a huge right hand at distance, hurts Hatton again at the end of the round

How long were the bloody national anthems, I had a shower and they still hadn't finished !
Why is there a British ref ?

8th round - hatton staying outside better and landing some good hooks catching van heersdan coming in. Hatton looks a division smaller in there. Hatton lands a few clever shots on the inside as van heersdan comes in low. round to hatton.

The SA anthem was ridiculous, I went for a piss and a cig and it still wasn't finished. No idea why Howard Foster is the ref although to be fair he is doing a good job

9th round - some good exchanges. Hatton lands a good left to the body, then misses wildly and van heersdan drives him into the ropes. Good right from hatton on way out of a clinch. Work gets scrappy. Both fighters land wild shots at the end of the round.

Commentator just said Matthew Hatton grew up in london. Annoying when foreign countires class everywhere in England as London, have heard some Indian guys do this. Really ignorant and annoying, like our whole country is fecking London!!

As for the fight, I forgot this was on, so only just put it on, Matt Hatton looking ok but just an average fighter.

It was tough for Hatton growing up in London, apparently. Used to be a carpet feeterrr.

Really good fight this, I'm enjoying this. I can't see Hatton winning though, it's too close

round 10 - south african commentators sound weird as fornicate. "NO NO MATTHEW" yells Howard Foster. Beautiful sneaky right to the top of the nad-cage by Hatton on the ref's blindside. Fight still scrappy; hatton manages to catch Van heersdan again on the way in. "COME ON NO BACK OF THE HEAD SORT IT OUT". Nice short uppercut by Hatton; Van Heersdan throws a load of blocked shots. Now my feed dies, rotten arseholes

Can't see Hatton winning this from what I've seen, unless he has earlier rounds in the bank. Very close and scrappy, so it will go to the home fighter. Hatton lucky to keep getting these shots really, he's still not even proved himself best at domestic class let's not forget.

The commentary is crap, every good punch that Hatton lands is basically ignored

True, but it is scrappy at best, I'm seeing 2 average fighters with the South African just edging it on workrate and punches landed. Hatton looks like he always does, average straight lines fighter with little fluidity, holding on for dear life now he looks tired, but it's got to be coming to the end now for Matthew unless he fancies going back to domestic level.

Not a great fight. Scrappy. Very obvious who would win a distance fight.

Commentary was fcukin dire. Matthew Hatton carpet fitter from London etc... Pish

Nice to get a taste of what a non-British viewer gets when watching British commentary, then. ;;-)

I went India when I was about 14 and was playing cricket with locals...they asked me where I was from and I said England. They replied "Huh? London?" (I'm originally from Lancashire) So with a sigh I said "Yes London."

So they hadn't heard of England but had heard of London!

Just seems to be what they do over there, I worked for a web design company in Manchester and we worked with some Indian guys for outsourcing some stuff. When I used to Skype them, they used to say, how's it in London? I told them time and again it's MANCHESTER, but just seems to be what they do, they call England London. Stupid.

The commentary was woeful though. Very biased and their knowledge of boxing in general just seemed pitiful.
