On the subject of durable journeymen, how many times have Peter Buckley failed to do the full course?

Not many I would wager. Even a young Naz, with 'Rocket Launchers' for fists, failed to halt the irrepressible Brummie.

Bonson and Buckley teach prospects that they cannot blast all opponents out, an important lesson to learn early on.

Buckley has lost only 10 times inside the distance in 221 fights!! A few of them are bound to have been shitty home town stoppages aswell.

Yeah, I lot of Buckleys were quite compasionate ones in which most refs would have let him continue (i.e. Naz rematch).

I think Colin McMillan one-punched him in about three-rounds about 5 or six years ago? Picture-perfect right through the guard flattened him. Think he got up but was stopped? Must have been a great shot as Colin didn't normally flatten his opponents.

Do you remember McMillan befuddling Gary Deroux for the British title? Masterful stuff.

With Colin, it wasn't about power, but precision and wonderful timing. He was such a silky operator. Shame his shoulder injury curtailed his career.

It would take someone of his class to take out Buckley. He is a natural feather now competing amongst Welter - SSM eat your heart out!

Acelino Freitas stopped him but obviously that's no disgrace and Buckley lasted for four rounds as well.
