Anthony small on the big questions this morning.....

I don't know if anyone saw that, but I believe the youngsters would call it an "epic fail".
He got short shrift from Nicky Campbell and cut off halfway thru his rant. He's clearly not the sharpest tool in the shed.
But before this thread gets really heated, I just thought I'd mention it cos it's rare to see a boxer on the tele nowadays, I'm not rascist, anti Muslim etc etc. just surprised to see him there is all. Fair play to the beeb.

I had Small as a 'friend' on Facebook, but he became too hate filled so I had to remove him.
Lots of wrongs in the world and he has a point, but he is not articulate enough to make anyone with any sense listen to him.

Ex boxer.
Always has highly inflammatory views.
Burning poppies is not remotely acceptable, nor is shouting muderers at our lads in the forces when they come home.

Maybe not right to shout murderers as a personal insult to any said member of the Forces, but strictly speaking we bombed the shit out of a country in a highly illegal war with little regard for whom was caught in the crossfire.
as said above, Small is not the person to be putting these thoughts across to the wider audience in an informed, articulate or rational manner.

For all his despicable views, Anjem Choudary seems to be reasonably intelligent. So it puzzles me that he'd allow the inarticulate, often inaudible and quite frankly brainless Anthony Small to sit with him and speak about their "cause" on a prominent national TV show.
I found it quite funny to see Small make himself look stupid again.

Funtime,
Maybe ?
The soldiers didn't make the decision to go.
They did their job.
What about burning poppies wtf does destroying something that represents our ancestors who fought for our rights - Small included who is a UK citizen - prove ?
Lets just agree to disagree.
By all means he can rant on - following deportation.

Absolutely right. Well put mate.
I hate the notion that seems to have transmitted from the US; that if you dare criticise our government's foreign policy then you are somewhat unpatriotic.

I don't believe in burning poppies. But are you aware of the pro-poppy fascism from certain sections that exists in this country? Which is as aggressive, intolerant and hateful as those who burn poppies.
Britain is built on thousands of years of immigration. Poppies do not represent British ancestry, but instead remembers those from Commonwealth countries who lost their lives fighting in world war one.

the mention of soliders, poppies and Anthony Small always brings about rational debate on this page.

It's an odd one because it is only in recent years that it has become so politicised. When I was younger, wearing a poppy was about remembering sacrifices from the world wars. As those people died off, it became attached to current campaigns much more and thus more controversial.

Those people whom the poppy is designed to make us remember, died defending our right to choose whether or not to wear it. Or even protest against it.
This irony seems lost on the likes of Small.

poppy fascism - You must wear a poppy otherwise you're an ungrateful little oaf apparently
Small is an idiot though, religious people tend to be weak willed anyway and very nazi-like if you ask me, not all mind you, just the ones who live in fear of hell and feel the need to spout the supposed wrongs in the world. There are actually god squadders who believe earthquakes and floods are punishment from god because somebody stuck their cock up another blokes arse, they're fornicating mental cases, I find it terrifying that people like that can hold positions of authority.

it's the 21st century and we still have religion and monarchy, two ancient creations that no longer serve a purpose.

Oh they serve a purpose. Just for a select few, though.

THIS
otherwise we should all declare our flock of sheep's family name
Flock - where is that used outside the farming world
Ouy boys is the forces are doing a job. Thank goodness we have them.
It is why we all have a voice (even on here!) without our troops we would have nothing, including our ability for free thinking and creativity. Like Anthony Small enjoys now.
anyways this is about boxing eh?
maybe we can all chip in and get Small on Prizefighter (middleweight if he can make it) he might do well. Win he can have 2 minutes with the mike (if we can hear him) Lose - get on a plane pal. Now thats choice...

Anthony Small is a moron always has been. Was a talented boxer but as soon as he opened his mouth showed himself too be a complete dick .His retarded hate filled bile should be paid no attention and that is all he is after attention.Whatever your views Small should be forgotten about. If he had a brain he would have capitalized on his ability and used whatever fame he achieved to highlight the debate .

That isn't true, do the North Koreans have a demonic dictatorship because of the army?
Are the army the ones who are curtailing the freedoms?
We don't have freedom and democracy because of an army, and they certainly don't protect
it. The will of the people as a whole - in and out of uniform - are the people who make sure those freedoms are protected.
