Degale makes a barely believable claim to raise his profile among potential ticket buyers. Said comments are posted onto a popular boxing forum, thus raising DeGales profile. Job done.

You're right Dan. He also looked terrible in his first outing on 5 and i think he would take a hiding against a solid world operator let alone one of the top fellas

in his cafe def , he believes he has some sort of entitlement to share a ring with Froch - when in reality he dosent .

There are other fighters i have come across who believe there own hype to the point were there deluded ... and half the problem are the family and close friends.. look at Khan, he has all yes men around him telling him hes the next coming and that is part of the problem with him and the british boxing fans not taking to him as it leads to the laddie coming out with some daft stuff ... i understand why its needed ,but too much of it is not desirable to most as it

De Gale has as much chance of beating Froch as Froch has of beating Ward NONE but atleast he believes in himself and is willing to fight the best in his division

Thats who I thought of too. Like any of us care that much. Good luck to him but his threads

In the quote DeGale doesn't say he would win.
He did pick up the WBC Silver belt which at it price of something like £10,000+ should put him up the queue.
Not that I see Froch/Kessler; but Ward doesn't have anything very exciting going on, a defence against an olympic gold medallist within the coming 12 months sounds believable enough, Sakio Bika is close to another fight with Ward but everyone knows there's little or no point in the rematch so thats another potential space in Ward's schedule. Kelly Pavlik was even in the picture for a while!
I think he might be deluded, I also think his fights following the Groves loss have been very good building fights. Ward comes out on top vs any of the current bunch IMO.
