Showed again tonight that he is still one of the best in the world and he is 48 a great accomplishment
He controlled the fight and never looked in any danger.
Excellent roll model for anyone who thinks there to old to compete in sports

You just beat me to it - was going to come on here and say much the same thing. Haven't seen the fight yet, but the man is a legend - one of a kind in this era and an amazing role model for fighters of any age in terms of what can be achieved if you're prepared to lead the right life.

Just had the pleasure of watching this from ringside, im in new york with the mrs so i thought id make the most of it.
Fair play to cloud, he took it to hopkins and wasnt overwhelmed by him at any point, just out smarted by the craftsman of the man that is B-hop. Just wish he had'nt put in such lackluster performances in dome of his past fights.

You could have put the scores in the title and saved us the trouble of opening the thread

It spoiled the result for me.
But I wouldn't have come on a boxing forum if I was trying to avoid the result of a fight, so it"s all good.

He's three years OLDER than Raymond van Barneveld. And I was all over 2/1 B-Hop points. Master, master craftsman... And Hopkins ain't bad either

Got to laugh with the guys who are shouting 'spoiler' If I wanted to watch a fight later in the day and not know the result I certainly wouldn't go straight to a boxing forum and look on threads. You got to laugh.

When I don't want icecream I don't go anywhere near the icecream van, when I don't want sex I go no where near my wifes pussy. When I don't want to know football scores I don't go anywhere near Sky sports news.
When I do want compensation I do go near cracks in the pavements.

It's a brilliant achievement. A lot of box fight into their forties but they don't take on the best in the division which is what BHOP does. He still looks like he has another few top level fights in him too.

Would be a good fight. A forward plodder like Cloud was tailor made for Hopkins. Cleverly would be a harder pace for him.

B Hop is a legend. A very special athlete. Cloud couldnt rock him and in the later rounds he knew he was not going to win. I hope Hopkins is able to retire champion at 50, what a thing that would be, on top of what he has already achieved.

Up there with Ali IMO, even though some of his fights are ugly affairs.
