Broner vs. Malignaggi

Seems to be happening this summer, for the WBA light-welter belt. Odd seeing as though they are currently 2 weight classes apart but I guess Paulie can obviously boil down and Broner can easily get up to 140.

What are your thoughts? And it also puts a stop to any possible Broner-Burns fight

Weight jumping cherry picking move. I don't like it.

Why can't Broner unify against Abril or Vazquez if he can't fight Burns?

it will be happening at 147 for Malignaggi's WBA belt.

It's clear that Broner has the body to move up but jumping 12 pounds? And will it be sustainable or will he move back down after it? I agree with one of the previous posters, it's nice to see a boxer clean out a division at a time and then move up rather than moving up and down hand picking opponents.

Up 12 pounds against a non-puncher, though. If it was at 140, surely only the IBO or the likes would sanction it for a title.

Malinaggi is the weakest belt holder at 140 or above so it makes sense.
