I know of 3 terrible decisions made by A star referees this weekends it needs to stop its ruining British boxing the bbbofc need to sort this issue out
John Wayne hibbert vs dave Ryan 97-95 there's no way on a million years dave Ryan won that fight I've spoke to at least 20 people who have said JWH won at least 7 rounds - referee - Mark green (total wanker)
dan naylor vs micheal Devine from what I've been told terrible refereeing AGAIN
Curtis woodhouse vs Shane singleton another decision that went the wrong way
These referees are ruining boxing.

Not in Britain but I felt Luca Giacon was stopped a lil too early in Italy (though he wasn't going too last too much longer)

Also Amir Unsworth Vs Chris Truman the week before - haven't seen the fight but everyone i've spoke to thought Chris won it, and according to Chris's twitter the ref (forget which one) commented that he'd given a bad decision against Amir in the past so equalled it out - not saying this is what happeened just what I read.

how many people can actually score a fight? its not as easy as you think, and the referee is in a far better position than any of us,

Dave Ryan won the fight fair n square.. Hibbert was busier fighter but he was hittin arms and gloves.. His face was a complete mess at the end Ryan didn't have a mark on in.. I'm aware cuts n bruises don't count but in this case it proved connection!?! A busy fighter shouldn't win true connection well timed and thought out fightin should win! Curtis woodhouse fight certainly was a complete joke he dominated and again some very good boxin!!

Never given it a proper go only at home on the tv, when I've been live I've never done proper scoring just had hunches. Would love to give it a go though

In a way yes the ref is in the best position
in another 4 ways, no
the ref is there - he can tell when a shot scores and really damages
and more often than not he is experienced
but
he doesn't have 360 degree vision around the boxers at all times
he doesn't see what every judge sees (neither do they)
and he doesn't get reply, pause, rewind like I do at home
SO give the ref some slack!!!!!!!!
In general the viewer on TV has the best seat in the house, although has much longer to make up their "considered" opinion.
Me...not an anorak anymore (if not at an event, I used to watch on TV with no sound, to remain impartial-thankfully no more)...it's too stressful - You want to be a ref? I certainly don't.
enjoy the fights, make a view, and enjoy the banter after. be sarcastic, laugh, ridicule but not upset people (I hope)
otherwise, why be a fan?
support the pros (boxers and refs), and have fun doing so.
btw my scorecard looked much like KGs. Too many Coors were served outta my fridge.....burp..

To be honest i think the ref is in the worst position to score a fight as his main job is the boxers safety. If you are watching a boxers reaction to shots and keeping an ey on some ne who may be in trouble then how can you really be scoring a fight. To me a ref who scoresa fight perfectly isnt keeping a close enough ey on boxers reactions to shots.
Could you ask a doctor monitoring a fight if hes scoring it properly?
Thisis why i try not to moan too much about scoring id rather be worried why i disagreed with a refs score than why he stopped it too late and the guy got injured.

Thought the Singleton-Woodhouse match was the worst domestic decision for quite a while

Rob Chalmers ref's that. Joke of a decision! And if that excuse was genuinely given, then that is disgusting!!
