Pretty sure I read something recently where he said he still had injuries and that MAYBE he would have another fight, but reading between the lines seemed like he was done with it.

All just a one off for his silly programme on sky one - made a mockery of the sport if you ask me.

I don't get people's big deal about the show. Why were people so upset with it? Just because he's played cricket, he's not allowed to give boxing a go?

I can only assume the people having a go at it can't have watched the show. It did anything but make a mockery of the sport. Flintoff struggled in training at first and picked up several bumps and bruises along the way. He admitted that the training was a lot more difficult than he ever thought it would be. Then the pay off was him fighting in a four-rounder on a Frank Spank undercard. In the last episode of the show, he even strongly hinted that he had not intention of fighting again, just due to the difficulty of training.

People are making out that Flintoff spent the entire series eating doughnuts and then expected everyone to take him seriously as a main eventer.

He'd retired within a few days of his bout

It was Richard Dawson who was especially useless and he was a pro boxer well before Flintoff considered having a fight so its the commissions and boxing boards if anybody who should take the blame for the dire standard,me personally i say fair play to him ,he,s as much right as anybody to try and become a professional boxer whatever his previous proffesion,the BBBC thought he was eligible so what can you do? and it wasnt if he was arrogant and brash about it and he never got above his station,he appreciated how hard it was and treated "our" sport with respect,even if he did do it under the radar,half of youz would still be moaning so you can never win.We get a boxing channel that shows the best fights worldwide for £2.50 a week,granted some of the domestic and European shows are not great but at least it still shows it and yet most people on this forum are willing it to fail rant over sorry

Dawson didn't try though, he only threw one punch and didn't risk it again after he dropped Flintoff!
4 2 minute rounds too. This makes any bloke in the pub think he can be a pro boxer when they belong on white collar bills

It was probably the most dodgy fight i have ever seen.

I hope he fights again, I won a stack of money on the last fight.
