Man, I did not know that Esteban won by a large margin? I have not seen the fight, but I will see it very soon. Thanks for the post.
Esteban should be in the hall of fame.Il Duce wrote:True,
Many of the boxing experts thought that Ishimatsu Suzuki would be too strong for Esteban,
wear him down, and stop him by a late TKO.
Definitely a 'high-quality' win for Esteban. Maybe his 'best' complete performance.
He lost decisively, though. I don't give resume credit for HOF induction for decisive losses like that.Il Duce wrote:He's right on the edge,,,,,,,,
The 'loss' to Sweet Saoul Mamby sealed his fate though.
If Roberto wasn't there - Esteban would have ruled the Lightweight Division from
1972 thru 1978...
And, he fought Antonio 'Kid Pambele' Cervantes when Robert wouldn't....
Well, there was a Duran.:)Il Duce wrote:With no Roberto Duran,,,
Esteban De Jesus goes into the 'Hall of Fame' as per the 'Computer'
