What do people think to J Leon Love ?

He fights at middleweight and seems to have some slick skills, fast hands and can bang a bit too. Seems to be a part of the money team that Mayweather has put together and hangs around with Broner etc. He has had 15 fights and no losses. I am trying to have a look at some up and coming boxers to see if they have what it takes to be future stars of the sport. Broner is definately one of the next big stars. If you have noted any particular boxers, then mention them here and i will have a look through you tube. I am intrigued to see if we can replace the stars that have just gone or are going such as Jones, Mosley, Hopkins, Mayweather, Pacqauio, etc etc.

He boxed a kid off the other topics section who was making his debut and knew nothing about Love's pedigree. Some bad shit goes on over there. Not got that much opinion on him as a fighter, not seen enough of him.

I can see that mate, but you can see through the opponent and just watch the fighter himself to note how good they could or will be. Bad match making is common place and always has been.

J'Leon Love has alot going for him. He has heart, is always in great shape, he's one of the bigger sized middleweights out there (he naturally walks as high as 195 pounds), he has good technique, and of course has a damn good punch. IT also don't hurt he's in with the best training camp in the world, being one of Mayweather's chief sparring partners and talents. HOWEVER he does have one real weakness, and that is he can be bulled into the ropes by physically inferior opponents, and he seems to have no answer to when someone cuts the ring down and swarm him. However, with his conditioning and punch, he usually comes out on top whenever someone does this. Then again, he has only fought two-three guys so far with any resolve to them. I believe it was on Monday's atgradio show we discussed how Love is going to be on the undercard of Mayweather/Guerrero against EASILY the best opponent of his career so far. I called it a 60/40 proposition with his opponent having a solid shot at decisioning J'Leon over ten rounds. Then again, his opponent, has scar tissue on top of scar tissue, and it wouldnt surprise me that in the middle-late rounds Love lands one of those sneaky right hands and busts him open badly and wins on a TKO.

You gotta understand the plan with Mayweather promotions, Floyd managed to get his boy Ishe Smith a title shot against the weakest link in the chain and Smith won a belt. He's aiming to do the same for his boy J'Leon Love, and if Love can beat this man he will more than likely be thrown in against a top 10-15 opponent who has flaws, and if Love can get passed that obstacle, he will be matched against the weakest link in the chain at 160 for an alphabet strap. HOWEVER, I do predict in the near future, Love will go back to 168 pounds, the weight he originally started off as.
