My thoughts are that it seems like Khan is getting special treatment. How is it that his two opponents will of been Carlos Molina a blown up lightweight and julio diaz a slightly shot worn fighter, whilst Garcia, Matthysse, Judah and peterson will all beat ten bells out of each other and khan sits pretty on the outside and gets the winner! Doesnt seem fair to me and if i was one of those fighters or the manager of one of those fighters I wouldnt go along with it. Its not like Khan is some massive draw in the states who can dictate terms.

2 of the names youve mentioned have beat khan so surely should be on their terms not his!

Khan gets the easy route while the guy who KHTFO has more fights. A load of old shite from GBP as per.

Not really a tournament as such, just a a few hopeful fights.

Can't believe the final line about Garcia being the easier fight. Is he still living by the 'lucky punch' line?

Khan doesn't really have an advantage because it isn't a tournament. Khan wasn't available this summer because he's getting married and he doesn't training during ramadan and the rest only came together because Garcia-Judah was postponed. So this is just a string of fights, two title fights, followed by a unification and the best available challenger as a first defence in Khan.
As for favouritism, Khan will fewer purses, will not go into the final fight as champion and, if he fights Peterson or Garcia, will have to fight in their country.
The chances of this holding together right to a Khan fight must also be slim.

You say Khan will have fewer purses, now that is true but it might benefit him in the long run in that he be the fresher fighter after Garcia, Matthysse, Peterson and Judah have knocked seven bells out of each other in the run up to fighting Khan which will give Amir a greater chance of winning when the fight comes about, which will in turn set him up for bigger fights and better purses! I still think Golden boy are trying to place Khan in a favourable position to fight Mayweather down the line. If I was the manager of one of those four guys, I wouldnt be happy with the setup.

When I see the word "tournament" in boxing, I can't help but think of the "Super 8s" which I'm pretty sure is still being fought on a Pacific Island somewhere.

Mattyhsse and Peterson is the difficult one to predict. You have fancy Garcia big, and if any of the three face Khan they should beat him.

I suppose Khan is the sacrificial lamb...

Who cares whether or not this may favour Khan. Most will have him as the underdog against whomever wins this tournament. It's obviously not the perfect situation, but we're going to get some pretty good fights and a pretty cleared up division as a result of this (or as close as we're likely to get with Arum/GB issues).

Did anyone ever think Khan would ever clear up the divison. He was bound to bump in to someone who can punch. And I don't think he could ever beat Bradley. I was watching Bradley-Alexander the other day and Bradley has very quick hands. Okay Khan's are faster but what other characteristics? Defensively he is naive. The only quality he has is Power but Bradley's chin is ridiculous and Khan's is appaling. Even Bradley could KO Khan.

Which makes me think the arrogance of clearing up the division and taking on Mayweather is ridiculous...
