Hopefully against Vassell....
But as mentioned on another thread, no mention of Kevin Mitchell, abit strange as he sells alot of tickets

Frankie said he's gonna be in a 10 rounder so can't see it being Vassell. Fighting Vassell in June but wouldn't suprise me if Vassell is pouched to fight a matchroom fighter.

Well Eddie has been keeping his fighters wouldn't mind seeing Denton Vassell in with Lee Purdy. Never seen the first fight but heard it was a belter !!!!!!!!!

they are in complete different divisions gavin is a welter and mitchell is a lightweight ( small at the weight as well) never going to happen

rick godding was turned down by the board and fg v vassell has gone to purse bids. frankie tweeted that his doing a 8 rounder cause the vasell fight cud happen early may so its a keep busy fight for him

Before your time, it was routine, even for World Champions to have non title fights just to keep busy in preperation for their next one.Obviously, this was pre-internet days so people could not slate them. They didnt anyway, there were some great fights over the years.

Yeah not that long ago (although time flies its pushing 20 years ago) we had two world champions, Chavez and Oscar fighting in tune ups. Against opponents who probably would make the WBO world rankings if requested.

I think RRJ and James Toney were the last people to do this before fake importance on governing bodies took over
