I thought Duran fought brilliantly in the first Camacho fight.

You could say beating Castro was special given his age, but for me, the last time the old, snarling Duran ever appeared was against Barkley. After that it was never the same.

He had several solid showings, he was just trim and quick against Hector and he fought an excellent fight. I thought he clearly won. Probably the best action fight Camacho ever had.

I agree with Gilgamesh on Shane Mosley's beating of Antonio Margarito. Everyone was writing a then 37 year old Mosley against Antonio Margarito who was meant to have been a monster until we found he was loading up his gloves.. And Mosley simple just out worked the larger and slower Margarito.

I went from betting on Shane and thinking it was going to be a close decision to demanding he was stopping Margarito the night before the fight. Score one for the Bourbon.

gilgamesh i really respect your opinion
and agree with 2 out of 3 that you posted

i have to disagree with roy jones jr.
i feel that the 1st tarver fight showed the start of his
fast decline.

i would of said the ruiz fight

I disagree and I'll tell you why. His victory over John Ruiz was indeed the last time he was the "Super" Roy Jones who got easy victories over big name opponents. I consider Antonio Tarver a great performance because it was what people had clamored for all his career, what would Roy do when he was in tough? Well in the first fight he was able to dig down in the final two rounds and pull out a close fight. He had all he could handle that night and he still came out with the win, that's a great performance in my view.

Erik Morales in losing a close decision to Marcos Maidana.

I also thought he put in a good showing in the first Garcia fight.
