Won on a 2nd round KO, Looked ok in there, wasn't too nervous and worked the jab well in the 1st, more boxer than puncher, moved around the ring well. In the 2nd he came out more on the front foot and combined his punches. landed a right hand and his opponent went down , got up a bit wobbly on his legs and his corner stopped it.

Hughie is 18, so to say there is no rush is an understatement , he looks a good addition to the domestic heavyweight scene. Hope they keep him busy and his feet on the ground

In the short time he was in the ring I thought he showed good speed and movement for a super heavyweight, and a solid jab.

I seen Hughie spar an up coming UK Professional Heavyweight last year think he was 17 and he looked good then, I think he is defo 1 for the future and whatever Peter Fury is doing with him and Tyson its working as both are winning regular!!

How tall is he and what does he weigh in at? He isn't as big as his cousin but he looks
to have the potential to be a good, solid 16 and a half stone. Good handspeed too.

I read somewhere he is 6'6 or 6'7

I have seen a clip of him boxing in the ams and also the footage of him sparring Tyson. Seems talented.

He was listed at 6'7" on the tale of the tape.

Boxrec lists him at 6'8", but I think Tyson has a few inches on him, and I don't think Tyson is taller than his billed height of 6'9".

What happened to the idea of him turning pro on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs Steve Cunningham, at Madison Square Garden ?

Fury weighs in at 234 pounds 16 stone ten I must say he doesn't look it. Will be eighteen stone when fully made for sure.

Looks very tidy for a such a youngster early days but could have a very bright future

Mike Tyson was nineteen when he first fought as a pro. The thing with Fury is that he's 6"7" so would be expected to take longer to grow to full strength than someone of Tysons build. The attitude will be if he's good enough he's old enough and he certainly looks good enough. I just hope they take it easy with him many a good things been ruined by being rushed.

Tyson was 18 when he turned pro.

Looks like Fury has a great jab he should pretty do well, plenty time on his hands.

I think Hughie could end up being a bit of a puncher. His jab a move style is more suited to the amateurs, but at his age he will adapt quickly and it will be a different story when he sits down on his shots as he punches very cleanly and correctly. He is fast too and the ones you don't see coming do the damage.
On a different note, I wonder if we would see a Mayweather situation when the old man gets out of jail, I could see him wanting to take control of Tysons career. Who knows Hughie and Tyson my fight to settle family pride if their fathers argue.
Saying that he won't be released soon and there are tough tests ahead startling with Cunningham.

Hughie looked good on there for a debutant; light on his feet and with a nice snappy jab and quick hands. He also looks to have a good right hook like Tyson - he finished the opponent off with a couple of good short right hooks to the temple. At 18, he also has an awful long time to develop. Can see him getting to 25-0 or so before seriously stepping up, but he's young enough to do that (and probably should be following that path if he hasn't stopped growing into his frame).

I used to train with Hughie a few years ago when he was around 67kg and about 5'9.

He had an average record maybe loosing more than he won.

Didn't see him for a year and thens he 6'5 super heavy and winning everything.

Great turnaround for the lad, his size has helped but his dad is doing something right with his training.
