Gerber just beat Oloukun on points but took some massive shots in the last two and looked like he wanted out. It was frustrating as I wanted Oloukun to win, if only he had better stamina he would have got the ko in my opinion.

Groves got an easy win against Baker Barakat, the referee stopping it (rightly) in the second after GG landed a really good right hand forcing Barakat to back up against the ropes.

AAs left eye is totally shut. The corner did the right thing in retiring him.

Yeah I think so. Stieglitz looked good but Abraham was a standing punchbag.

Abraham didn't fancy it from the first bell if you ask me. He had a few wild swings in round 2 and that was as much as he offered.

No one is saying he'd beat Froch or Kessler. But there are a lot of Groves rumours so I don't see why discussing it is a problem. Fringe-level or not you cannot deny that was a pretty decent effort by him.

I kind of agree. Even though AA didn't look interested and wasn't doing anything (which is how he normally starts), I doubt Stieglitz could have kept up that pace for the whole fight.

I was about to have a tenner on an AA stoppage inside the distance at the end of the 3rd

Less than a third of the fight was enough though wasn't it!

Uli Wegner - just do not rate him as a trainer. I can't understand what he says, but he comes across as a 'shouter'. His fighters' styles are crude.

Abraham was fierce once, but he's gone really stale since S6 and needs a new team or retire.

Joe Calzaghe had two mandatories in 10 years - both times against the undeserving Mario Weit.

Amazes me that anyone considers the WBO a major belt.
