I know he was not fighting any one of world class level but looks very relaxed and comfortable and looks to be forcing a shot of the winner of this bout. He looks more powerful then I have seen him before. He has a fight in April on the undercard and won't be able to get a shot at the winner till the summer. Who does he fight in the next round?

I think he should be looking at a fight at Brian Magee IMO. A very good pro who will make Groves think. Also a good scalp although his career is done. Maybe Peter Manfredo Jr if you could get him on the undercard but that may be unlikely or maybe the fight for the European even though he may not want that

Bike could be a good scalp and would also as WBC number one contender after winning the eliminator in his last fight if I'm right would help Groves in the WBC ranking. I think it would be an excellent scalp it looks like Bute has defiantly moved to light heavyweight in his fight for Jean Pascal. Brian Magee would be a good fight and an easy one to make for April no doubt.

Another good scalp to add to the list with the win over Johnson as well. Manfredo Jr would be difficult to make but would be a good fight in my opinion. Done well against Chavez Jr and has now moved up in weight. Maybe Yusuf Mack has a warm up to see if he can do what Froch did to him.

I would of liked to of seen Groves against Stevenson but that wont happen for a few reasons. Bika is a good call otherwise i think. Magee im not so sure on. He was a good gatekeeper to world level I believe but the way Kessler pretty much destroyed him has made me wonder if he's coming to the end! Losing to Kessler isnt a shock obviously but it was the manner of it which makes me feel that way.

I wouldn't call Bika a scalp. I'd fancy him to beat Groves.

I think it's safe to say that Groves will be showcased to the world on the Froch undercard. Therefore I can't see him being put in a very risky fight.

Hearn will want to make big money on the Matchroom show Groves is meant to headlining in September.

A defeat or struggle would have a negative bearing on that for sure.

Its supposed to be a big coming out fight though. I remember Seeing hearn and groves say it in an interview. Also it will be a bit of a let down main event if its some mediocre opponent.

I think his opponent will be ok.

Hearn has thrown a lot of money at Kessler to get him over here. That'll have a massive impact on the undercard.

I'm not expecting any big names.

Hearn doesnt have any real say in the opponent apparantly. That was according to Hearn himself. He said its Booth that makes those decisions.

Hearn will be financing the fight and putting the purse up, therefore he'll have some sway. Maybe not on the opponent, but the calibre/cost.

Yeah he'll have some input but its primarily booths decision. Hearn said if Booth and Groves asked to be put in with Froch next he'd make the fight.

I can see a Will Rosinsky / Don George opponent.

Edwin Rodriguez or Bika would be good, even Adonis - but not sure money/risk would tempt them.

Rosinsky is a decent fighter but not true world class in all honesty. George would provide a fun fight whilst it lasted but he's also been exposed at world level and even lost to Sierra who Groves has already knocked out. He's also gone down to 160 i think. Rodriguez would be a good fight but he's busy in that 4 man tourno in monaco and finally stevenson would be a fun fight but he's apparantly fight Chad dawson for the 175 title and also he's mandatory to froch so it would be a silly risk really. Bika is the only real one available.

Isn't Stevenson supposed to be fighting Dawson next? I think Rodriguez might be tied to that Monte Carlo "Super 4" thingy as well.

Bika would be proper test.
