As opposed to it not being all over if he was beaten by someone else? I don't follow Rhino. Seems like the perfect plan to me - righting a wrong that cost Price 5 months of his career. Price can get revenge against an ageing, out-of-shape Thompson who landed a freak shot.

The jury is still out on Price's chin but he has been unfairly written off. He can get right back on track.

Fair play to Price for taking it if it actually comes off. Takes balls that. Needs to keep it at distance and not get involved. Price will be apprehensive to commit to anything even if he hurts Thompson I would have imagined. Safety first I think.

Well you'd have to be incredibly optimistic to think his chins ok after that shocker.
Big credit to him for taking it on, but it's a bit like Russian roulette for him and Frank now.

It'll make a great night though, because it'll be whoever lands first....bookies will have TT favorite, but there seem to be quite a few who see it as a "lucky" punch.

Exactly.

It's a risk that he would have to take sometime so he and his team have decided to step back up straight away. What's the difference between fighting a few punchbags and then taking the risk a year or two down the line and stepping back in the ring with Thompson 5 months later? Fair play to him. Hope it works out for him.

The jury is totally in on Price's chin, it's crap. You don't get a new chin when you turn over to the pros and shots to the temple happen frequently enough in boxing that calling them freak shots seems a tad denialist. Price himself has said his chin isn't the best.

That said, I'm rooting for him against Thompson and hope he's sensible enough this time to keep the older man at a distance for long enough to wear him out. And then on upwards!

No way will the bookies have Thompson favourite. I reckon Price will be a heavy favourite still and if he boxes a more defensive fight should win quite easily.

He will only tire him out if he actually throws punches, even a jab, instead of the constant feignting.

Lennox-Rahman was the ultimate redemption and pulling off a revenge win like that has to be Price's dream. They must hugely fancy avenging this taking it again so soon.

I'm a BIG fan of Price, but in the brief time prior to the KO Tiger was making him look ordinary, Price was struggling to land his shots. TT might have one of them styles that doesn't suit Prices........ hope I'm wrong

Fair play Price, I reckon he would have been forgiven for taken some nice easy touches, obviously wants to set the record straight as soon as possible. Maybe box a bit more this time and not start thinking about getting Thompson out of there quicker than Wlad

Yes, as Tarby used to say on 'Winner Takes All' there will be a "difference of opinion" when it comes to pricing this one up.

Interestingly enough, as a gambling man I was quite surprised to see the odds of Price to beat Fury shorten from a best price of 4/11 before the Thompson fight to a best price of 2/7 after the Thompson fight. Not sure what the logic was there.
