David Haye and Cyprus's financial crisis

Haye does or certainly use to spend a lot of time in Cyprus and would often mention the tax advantages of having his money overseas. At one time he had the Cypriot flag on his shorts. With the announcement this week that anyone with over £82,000 in an account with a Cyprus bank will lose 40% in tax, it's possible that if he has several million over there he will make a huge loss. Anyone know if he's been stung by this?

Not 100% but pretty sure he used to train in Northern Cyprus and that was the flag he wore on his shorts. So this would not have any bearing on that.

Turkish Cyprus is not recognised by the EU, only Turkey recognises it (who are an EU candidate country, hoping to be compliant with the old Copenhagen criteria by 2015, with a view to becoming a full member in about 2020 or so)
Basically, the crisis has no impact on them.

David Haye resides and is a citizen of Northern Cyprus. Completely separate to Southern Cyprus. Whatever is going on in 'Cyprus', is occurring in the Southern part, not the Island as a whole.
The Northern half is the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. They are Cypriots but Turkish. The Southern half is occupied by Greek Cypriots and they are recognised and in the EU.
Adam Booth, like me, is ethnically a Turkish Cypriot and if the have any investments, it will be in the Northern half which is completely unaffected by all this.
Hope this clears this up once and for all

The financial crisis is something to do with David Haye's performance in Hamburg or George Groves's fault. I'm sure of it.

I think Haye has upgraded from Cyprus to Miami now Cyprus is where you can afford if you are a lowely cruiserweight champion. Not a former heavyweight champ
