....P4P top 10 Boxrec rating boxers with next? The idea of this is to put forward with respect to current ability as well as gauging a well matched fight that would ensure progress and move thier careers in a forward direction with good matchmaking whilst not putting them in too deep, too soon. Note i don't nesacarily agree with the current top 10.
Current P4P Boxrec rated Australians
1: Geale: Soliman is the mandatory, this looks less and less likely, and obviously Martinez is the holy Grail, i think 2 more fights to make this the fight, that it should be. So instead i would want a Pirog,Chavez Jnr fight and would even settle for one of the lesser Brits, Macklin,Barker, even a US Debut with Rubio or Taylor or any of those combinations from either column. If it was me.
Barker next (IBF International titlist)
JCC jnr
Martinez
2, Soliman: Hope he gets a his deserved shot, but not looking good, so he needs to while still relevant fight a top 10 fighter, if found guilty. His prize is that elusive title, so if Geale doesnt come off i would want...
Sturm rematch
Rubio ( IBF International former)
Then Geale
3, Green: Well i hope he has 2 more fights of meaning before retiremet, a lot to choose from, but given his age and last 5 or so fights, i would be happy with 2 intense fights, but would also settle for the builup up of a rematch with Wlod, which for me would cement his legacy with Australian boxing. The preference: 1 top 10 fighter, then Wlod for the WBC title, leaving arguable our most accomplished Heavier fighter, 1st choice Chambers/Layode then WBC Title Wlod. Or the easy route.. Fragemine who is currently number 1 ranked in WBC, Won the eliminator recently, then Wlod for the tile....either way is a great way to go out, it"s enough for all to be happy to say the word "respect! and what a finsh to a career.
4, Bika: Hope he gets a shot at the WBC, after winning the eliminator, would be happy for his sake to get the easiest shot at Steiglist and grab that elusive title, after 2 more fights i hope LT Heavy becons, is a better fighter than some suggest.
For me Steiglist WBO champ and with his biggest win against Abraham recently, then the winner of Frock/kesseler, than move to LT heavy. no other suggestions after 2 solid wins recently, and he's more than bigger enough for Lt Heavy.
5, Dibb, for me it's black and white, returns home and either scalps the rising feather Brunker early May, or the super feather rising star, Tomlinson, then heads back and regains his title after excercising his rematch clause overseas against the Russian. then move up to super Feather permantly.
6,Mundine, I don't care as long as it's a follow up from his form level of comp ie Geale ... Murray has Martinez and gets stopped, thats his next fight in 6 months Murray needing a win as dose Mundine, can't see him beating any current belt holders, so maybe a long shot at GGG/Quilan...then hang it up...other option return to his normal weight, However he has no chance of beating any belt holders at super middle, just no more Australian fighters or Argentines, show some balls before leaving the fight game( He Tells the truth the Khoder is a shit stain on the sport before leaving).
7,Wood, Now or never, but something, obviouly thrown very deep, very early, so 3 more middle fights against opposition here. before looking at overseas ( Agree with Convict, but after all it was top 10 Boxrec)
My thoughts, Shiak,Fletcher then Sherrington, all winnable fights
8, Omotoso ( US based) Suffered very first galliant defeat after dropping vargas and lost a few rounds. So still not quite ready and still young...My Thoughts...why not NDou, or and a very tough fight with Rabah, then head back and start a new plan, Mathew hatton would be a good start back and bulid from there.
Will finish Tomlinson and Sherrington tomorrow, the idea is to map with common sense, and with current ability that should see each fight as a stepping stone learnning curve that gets them noticed on the world with a plan for a title opportunity.
love to hear a plan for each fighter and matching
