You have all 3 Holy and both Golota fights, right?
The Jorge Luis Gonzalez fight was good, especially the pre-fight.
Also watch the Elijah Tillery fight where Tillery becomes a kickboxer and starts kicking Bowe. Rock Newman then comes in the ring.

While Rock Newman grabs Elijah Tillery around the neck, and pulls him out of the ring.

That was the 'best' action of his career......and he wasn't even involved.

Sums up Riddick "Big Daddy" and his career.
That's not quite fair considering the first heavyweight title fight performance against Holyfield. As much as Bowe squandered his vast potential over his career, with help from Rock Newman and his own laziness and a permeating fat-cat syndrome he could not shake, one cannot take away how good he looked that night against the great Evander Holyfield at both of their peaks.

Forget about fights that didn't happen MEISINGER, that's just silly. Instead, watch Bowe's fights against Tua or Moorer..... wait.

i think bowe had as much natural ability as some of the all time greats.
his choices of opponents and management.as well as his mental issues
ruined what could of been a hall of fame career.

And 'he lost' to Evander also.

Maybe his bout with Jorge Luis Gonzalez was a 'very good performance'.

But the word was, Jorge was 'not' able to take a good shot to the chin by then.
The main big guy he didn't fight (and the one he richly deserves criticism for) was Lewis. That was pathetic (throwing the belt in the trash can).
Gonzalez was never that great as a pro; I just enjoyed that fight given the pre-fight animosity.

The Holyfield and Golota fights are the main ones that would sum up his career at the top I would say...I never saw the Jorge Luis Gonzalez bout.

If you want to see him run over some dudes in quick fashion he took out Bruce Seldon, Jesse Ferguson, Bert Cooper, and a few other guys. But I know there should be footage of those fights somewhere.

Anyone know if Riddick Bowe's manuscript of his autobiography has found a publisher yet?
I remember reading over 2 years ago that he and the co-author were
looking for a publisher for it.

Riddick Bowe had once said that Herbie Hide was the hardest puncher he had faced, and at one point in their fight, Hide hit him with a punch and he was out on his feet, but that Hide was too cautious to capitalize on it or if he even knew Bowe was hurt.

Hide wobbled Bowe a couple of times with some haymaker shots, but man Hide gassed as badly as I've ever seen a fighter fatigue after a short duration of the fight . . it was painful to watch, he could barely summon the energy to keep his hands up after like 3 rounds.

Herbie was falling over against Bowe without being hit at times, then Vitali took him out with a shot to the shoulder. Classic bully who couldn't take his licks.

Agree with that. Also, if he knew he couldn't win in 12, he should have been fit for six rounds of war. Instead he was like Fainting Phil. I did notice when I watched years ago, that Hide was hurting Bowe.
