Noticed on the SKY EPG that allegedly are showing live boxing from 2pm this Saturday afternoon but no specific information is given. Buncey hinted that they will be showing the debut of Zou Shiming this Saturday afternoon. It's a great card from Top Rank:
Brian Viloria Vs. Juan Francisco Estrada
Wilfredo Vazquez Jr Vs. Yasutaka Ishimoto
Roman Martinez Vs. Diego Magdaleno
Zou Shiming Vs. Eleazar Valenzuela
The broadcast is scheduled for 4 hours. What a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
This should be officially confirmed within the next 48 hours.

I noticed that myself. I always look if something is on at the weekend & sometimes there are dates where it says "Live World Title Boxing", but it never elaborates on who or where, then occasionally just disappears which I assume is the ones that they are unsuccessful in purchasing.
The more the better for me. Looking forward to it. I have to admit though sitting down on a Saturday afternoon & watching live boxing will be a weird experience.
Zou Shiming debut + Donaire v Rigondeaux now on BN !!!

I think the channel is getting better by the week, Trout v Alvarez and Donaire v Rigondeaux are arguably the two highest profile 50/50 fights of the year, only days apart on b o x n a t i o n !!!
And what with the great amateur Zou Shiming making his pro debut, they really are covering the sport from all corners of the globe !

Yeah cant wait im a big fan of Brian Viloria and the Roman Martinez/Diego Magdaleno contest should be exciting, cant believe Ricky Burns is still the only man to beat Martinez considering he,s been on some pretty big shows, although he was quite lucky to escape with a draw against Juan Carlos Burgos.
Saturday afternoon boxing the Mrs will well be happy
Cracking undercard also i mght add

I do that as well ! I think where BN know for a fact that live boxing will NOT be shown, they schedule repeats and have the info put onto the EPG as far ahead as possible. This leave blanks, as the EPG has to have something for each slot. So they stick in the vague "world title boxing" to cover themselves. I would love to be a fly on the wall for some of the last minute purchasing of shows.... most of the BN workforce will be hanging on, wondering if they've the weekend off or not. Bunce's wife will be doing her nut in......

I think the show is being repeated later tonight.
I was just watching ESPN Friday Night Fights. Dan Rafael suggested Zou Shiming vs Eleazar Valenzuela will make boxing history. Shiming is a hero in China. The fight will be on network TV in China meaning the majority of their 1.3 billion population will be able to see the fight live. This coupled with world wide TV coverage means the debut of Shiming is set to become the most watched boxing fight in history!

From what I witnessed, he's not going to win a world title in the next year! He doesn't seem to have much power at all. I have no idea of the result at this time due to the broadcast blackout. It seems to have struck almost everyone world wide. A bit of an epic fail for Top Rank.

Don't have allegedly and would be surprised if there was a stream showing a repeat.

Weird that it cut out, alloted time ran out I guess - expensive to rent the satellite feed, so they must have pre booked 160 mins or whatever.
It's very hit and miss, but great that they at least show this sort of stuff - no-one else would - at Sky we get feckwit Smith gurning at the camera for 2 hours every week instead: they'd never show anything like that.
Needs fine tuning obviously - it's not too clever to have the main event cut out half way through !
And what a weird main event - full blown works, like a career defining super fight, and it's only his 4 round pro debut - bizzare.
His 0-2 opponent had a 10 man entourage....
Fantastic to hear the great Tim Ryan commentating, he was part of the legendary NBC team with Gil Clancey back in the 80's, and Larry Merchant - brilliant.
.....And Big George Foreman - not too bad as long as you've got Larry there, translating what he just said.

Ringside is interesting and well done but is not boxing; I'm pleased that allegedly is still alive and kicking and I'm getting to see some good bouts I'd not otherwise see.

Yeah I thought he'd retired, and Tim Ryan, but great to have them both back - a million miles better than the usual Colonel Bob Sheridan.

Its not in China, its took place in Macau, which is a different country.
Its not any kind of "achievement" to run a show in the Venetian Casino in Macao. Its easier than staging a boxing show in Canada.
