Heavy or Straw?

Why is it that on British(probably European) TV they always insist on showing big dumplings fighting in either mismatches or the ones that are competitive are probably more often than not snoozefests,is it just me that would like to bin the crap German shows and show more Straw through to Bantam bouts, i would love to see more action from South America and Asia,seemingly there are a lot of mini classics in those bouts but i wouldnt know as i cant tell you the last time the showed a world title fight lighter than Bantamweight in Britain
PS i bet they show the Brian Viloria card this weekend over here now

The heavyweight division is far more important than the strawweight division. I pick heavyweight.

C,mon isnt about time for sanitys sake to move with the times and give up on the Heavyweights,nothings happened for years,nothings happening now and nothing looks like happening anytime soon,the sooner we all just accept its shite with no-one on the horizon the sooner we can all move on,even if the second coming of Ali/Tyson comes along whats the chances of anybody being on their level coming along also? Doesnt matter if Deontay Wilder is the real deal and was to beat the Klitschkos,everybody knows their nearing the tailend of their careers so he wont get the credit so round and round we go
I FUDGIN HATE THE HEAVYWEIGHTS THE MORE I THINK ABOUT IT
altough i,ll never stop watching them because i love boxing and im a stubborn fuk-wit whos scared of missing something AND all this time we,re waiting on the next Heavyweight hope we,re missing some cracking Flyweight action

Actually, thinking of that: did you see Adrian Hernandez vs Kompayak Porpramook? Either of 'em? Or the Kazuto Ioka vs Akira Yaegashi fight mate? Let us know...

Firstly let me say that good fight is a good fight regardless of weight. Secondly you seem to get better matches in the lower divisions than the bigger ones in terms of a proportion, I.e. a higher % of heavyweight fights are duds.
As Datsue said we've recently had an awesome contest at Straw, interestingly from his list he missed Porpramook v Yaegashi from a year or two back.
For my money the lowest 3 weights not only had some of the FOTY contenders last year (Viloria v Hernandez, Ioka v Yaegashi and Gonzalez v Estrada) but also some of the biggest upsets (Rodriguez v Joyi, Jaro v Wonjongkam).

We have
zero straw (minimumweight) fighters in this country so why would we watch it
