Thanks for that Steve.
I checked earlier this week and no boxing was scheduled.
Would have missed it for sure.
Good luck with the show

Just to add - a shame Tom Dallas isn't on it.
Any news on whether the 'Trail of Destruction' card will be screened, Steve?

Very poor from Eurosport. Now the show is going head to head with ESPN's Live Friday Night Fights broadcast at 2am.
Didn't Eurosport let us down last year too? Last October Mickey Helliet had a show which was advertised between 8pm and 10pm on Eurosport 2. At 8:20pm the show turns up on Eurosport 1 instead already in progress. People who had scheduled the show to record from Eurosport 2 missed the whole event. Some people luckily noticed the channel had been switched and managed to catch some of the action. I don't think Eurosport ever repeated the whole card.
Come to think of it this kind of thing is happening all too often. 2 months ago we missed about 40 minutes of a show on Loaded TV due to technical difficulties and on the 8th of March Leon Senior v Danny Couzens was supposed to be live on Primetime but no sign of the show on the night.
It's becoming more and more frustrating trying to watch boxing on TV.
I've set the show to record and will watch it in the morning. Hope the show goes well Steve. We know this unexpected delay is not your fault, and not what you would have wanted. Will be spreading the word to let others know when they can catch the show.

What I found out is that it is Eurosport international that stage the production. It was live in all
European countries with the exception of the UK. I did not even know until around 10pm when it was being shown in the UK. Whilst I was delighted to get my boxers exposure no real point if we don't have a definitive time for it being shown in the UK in advance. Few will have seen it. I will post the fights on line from Monday on our YouTube channel goodwinpromo for those (many) who missed it.
This is no good for promoting boxing in the UK but Eurosport UK don't seem that bothered. Hopefully there will be a re run of the show where we know in advance and at a time where most people are awake!

As you say, fantastic exposure for the fighters and your company on a European level. Who knows, maybe some of the German promoters caught the show and will look to work with you and your fighters in future! I've recorded the show and will enjoy it later. It would be good if Eurosport would commit to a re-run. Their overall audience would have been much bigger if the show had been live in the UK too.

Do you think the scores were a bit wide in the main event, Steve?

I think it's being repeated at a more reasonable hour. Just type boxing in sky search.

I have re watched it as the Matthews team thought they were robbed. Woodall on Eurosport had Lee Markham winning by four rounds. I have Lee winning by 2-3 but whatever the scoring There is no doubt Lee won and it wasn't a robbery!

To be honest Steve, I agree, and I am friends with the Matthews team (sorry Glen!). The 99~92 was a bit of a joke though. Do you think they will box again?

Cannot see any point. Lee won it and will not be boxing away from home.
