Good amatuer boxer for scarborough abc under tommy johnson had alot of ko's and stoppage wins and acheived alot in the amatuers, junior aba champion bronze medal in junior worlds in cuba etc. Didnt fufill his full potential as a pro 5-3-1. I saw him in a barnstormer of a 4 rounder with alex matvienko one of the best 4 round fights i ever saw.

I wish they had the red sky button in them days, too many good undercard bouts missed he boxed in the amateur tournament which Martin Murray won to didn't he ? Cant remember who elsevwas in it now Best 4 light middles boxed to get on England squad?? I think he put some timber on and was debating on coaching

The box off was at crystal palace right??
If ash worth was the stocky tony Doherty look alike which I think he is ?
He caught Murray with a peach of a left & nut rays legs went & he just clamped on & like all great fighters came back! Murray did look very tight at 69kg which is welter

Yea was dark haired like Docherty and short stocky I like Ryan seen him not long ago up at a how in Sunderland, gonna drive me mad now trying to think of the other 2 boxers that was in the crystal palace tournament

Thanks Enforcer kind for the kind words the Ashworth fight was on Lujan vs Moore bill 2007 wow and Randall fight was a belter loved that fight we both went for it hammer and tongues in Jack Doughtys Gym/show in Shaw ha!! Great days still got it bought it on VHS off Ken Morton and Billy smith fought Mark Thompson not sure why I could take a shot so well but sure come in handy whilst training and fighting

I Love boxing more than anything!!! Have great memories from travelling the country for club shows my fave a good gym war !!! Or jeting of to box for England before turning pro ( the darkside Haha) Like Glen mentioned probly
Never fullfiled my potential as a pro as like many young tallented fighters boxing was all I ever known 8-25 years old non stop wanted it to much burnt myself out. Had great am trainer in Tommy Johnson. but didnt know what I was letting my self in for as a pro. the dark shady buisness side tickets home corner! I just wanted to fight but didnt have the best guidence wen turning pro. I later hooked up with Neil fannon as trainer & he is a exceptional trainer & a old fashioned sraight talker says it how it is. taught me alot how to train to break a man down. traveling 120 miles a day to the gym & full time job took its toll on me injurys torn oblique & tendon op on hand finished me. Imnow working offshore got a young familly fat but happy. but like any fighting man its in my blood & words cant explain how much I miss boxing the training the people.

Mate u had a great career and should be proud, our fight was a great punch up I remember Frank Maloney running in to the ring shouting was best 4 rounder he seen for years I come out bombing from 1st bell to last enjoyed every 2nd!! Glad your ok mate and hope your family is well
