Too soon for Iain. beat Smith by only a round and Michael Ramabeletsa 97/94.. Going by that easy nights work for Satchell......

I haven't seen anything of Butcher, so have no idea how good he is, but fair play to him and his team for taking this fight.

Flyweights are in a tough situation in the UK, there's so few fighters in the division so it's hard to gain experience without importing opponents. As European is hardly overflowing with quality Flys , it makes it even more difficult/costly.

Arnie Iain must be doing good in sparring?

Dont think ive seen Iain Butcher but the names rings a bell,im a big admirer of Kevin Satchell though he seems to be improving with every fight,i thought boxed well beyond his years against Luke Wilton,i would love to see him step up to Super Flyweight and fight Paul Butler,if Butler can claim the Commonwealth Super Flyweight title against Yaqub Kareem in a fortnight then him against Satchell would be quality,2 unbeaten British and Commonwealth champions from Liverpool,im sure that would gather some intrest for the small men division

Loads on here rate him and we have not fought him. Is it because you train Butler you don't like Satchell getting a lot of attention?

I rate them both but that's my opinion

lol Where did i say that?? Aint i allowed to think his that good... Why would you even bring that into it..He done a job on me at the end of my career like Eugenio Monteiro did to you but Kevin has up held the form after our fight to go onto be British and Commonwealth Champion where as Monteiro only won 3 of his next 10 fights...

imo I Rate him Very High and thats what im going on, read what i wrote........

This IS what im going on!!! I know how good Kevin is already, i dont know Butcher thats why I asked was he looking good in sparring with Butler? And i take it thats what you are going on..

The only time i See Butler is when he fought Sexton and i wasn't impressed at al.. My Opinion is going by how me and Sexton spar... But he done a Job on Donnelly which no one has done before as quick, would like to see him fight a couple more times....

good luck to both lads should be a good fight, people i know think a lot of Ian and i hope he can do it in what will without doubt be his hardest fight to date.

I go most shows in and around Liverpool so I've seen quite a bit off them, there both talented boxers think Butler carries the bigger power which would see him come out on top

if you look at the lst few challangers for the lonsdale at this weight or super fly, they all have single digits as there isint much of a depth to the division domestically ...however iain is confident and is figting a 6 rounder on april 27th which will keep him sharp and from there will go into his training camp .

hes got a good team around him,but also iain is grounded and expects a tough night-if lonsdales were won by atitude iain would have his already !

Has Butler and Kevin Sparred? Meet in the Am's ?

Yes Martin they have sparred many times . Though not in the last two or three years. Nothing between them in all the rounds they have sparred. There is a lot of mutual respect between them both and they like each other outside the ring also.They never boxed as amateurs ironically Kevin was always the weight above Paul

Thanks, was Kevin a Feather Weight? What weight was Butler? I lost track of the Am's how did they both get on title wise?

No Martin Kev was a bantamweight and Paul was a flyweight. Kevin won 3 national titles and I think Paul won about the same not 100% sure about that. But they were both very good amateurs. And now they are both turning into very good pros
