Lee Haskins hopes to make some Bristol boxing history

Been talking to Lee today. He fights Martin Ward for the vacant British Bantamweight belt at the City Academy in Bristol on Saturday 27th April. Its a fight that could slip under the radar nationally because there's no tv, but it is significant because its the first British title fight to be held in Bristol for 15 years! That's because there isn't an arena in Bristol (although there are plans for one now).
Lee wants a rematch with Stephane Jamoye for the European title that he lost in Belgium in December. It was on ESPN and was a cracking fight as anyone who saw it would agree.
Good luck to him, he's a nice lad here's the interview.......

I agree with that. He has the experience edge and has mixed it with and beat a very high level of opposition. He is still World ranked (I think) and rightfully so. I hope he can get himself a promoter off the back of this fight.
