Berridge and caparello... How far can they go?

I just had a glance at where these two rank at light heavy, on the boxrec rankings. Both have some big names around them, and berridge for example is only a few spots shy of title holder Nathan cleverly.
How far does everyone think these two can go? I see berridge waging war on many good fighters but struggling against the slick boxers. I'm not sure if caparello has quite enough pop to frighten of the toughest in the world either. That said I would love to see both of these guys against the likes of Allan green, Yusuf Mack and even cleverly( if the fights could be made)

Far, for both. I wouldn't worry about Caps pop, I think Berridge, Bolling and kwadjo will all attest to the fact he can bang, I just don't think we'll see the KO numbers go up until the bigger fights come, the guy the other night came to survive.
As for Berridge, I hope some promoter here finds a home for him, he's a very exciting fighter, with 1 punch power. Agree about slick boxers, or even fighters that throw in volume. 1 fighter that comes to mind is mcConville.

Personally I think it's Caparello who should find a new promoter, after beating Berridge last year Caparello hasn't moved on, Berridge has had his 2 best wins since and has moved above Caparello in the ratings. I think the Aussie needs to leave his state, where let's face it he's being pampered. Probably good having Berridge on his show's as when Berridge steals the show, it will goes back to the fact that Caparello beat him. I'd like to see the re-match in N.Z but with lack of funding overhere and Caparello's team's inability to leave Victoria it won't happen.

Caparello was matched with Braimah Komoko before he pulled the pin 2 weeks out. Olivera was a late replacement. Berridge has fought on our last two shows and we're looking to put him on regularly here. We're doing the best we can and sometimes things don't go to plan so we need to compromise. Berridge knocked out two of my guys on our shows in his last two over here so you can ask any fighter who fights on our cards and they'll tell you that there's no easy rides. Blake has a long way to go and when the time comes he'll make his move.

Is there going to be a Caparello/Berridge 2?

Caparello fighting Kiwi Daniel Mackinnon next (in Melbourne of coarse) Good fight.

Berridge , is a hard hitting tough hard hitting dangerous fighter in the mould of Moses Serovi, he connects and your gone ,, but just like Moses before him his skills are limited to Aussie , Nz LEVEL SMOOTH AND SLICK BOXERS WIL BEAT HIM
Capperello well he's started off real good, willing to take anyone on, and reached the top of the Aussie ladder very quick , but thats where he's staying , he will not fight out of victoria , he took the win against Berridge and don't expect a rematch , too dangerous . Blake really needs to aim for a commonwealth title shot , but alas he will get beat , when its not at home and against higher quality fighters ,, theres NO WAY can you put Blake in the same mould has your Guy Waters ,, Jeff Harding fighters .

I heard McKinnon and his team offered Berridge a fight recently but it was knocked back.

It was mean't to be either on the Parker/Botha undercard thursday or in July but yeah it seems team Berridge didn't want it all on Mackinnon's promoters terms, If Daniel Mackinnon was to beat Blake Caperllo (and it's not totally against the realms of possibililty) then I reckon this fight would be massive in NZ, but with Berridge fighting so often in Aussie and against much better opposition it's not if he really needs Mackinnon. On a personal note it's the fight I'd most like to see in N.Z.

Just to clear up a few things here...
1. Berridge agreed to fight McKinnon on a Duco events promotion. However McKinnons promoter wanted to do the show himself so he offered Berridge the deal. The issue with the deal was it was all favoured toward McKinnons team so the deal was rejected. I'm sure these 2 great NZ fighters will get it on at some stage.
2. Caparello is going places IMO and he's offered everybody in the LHW division a fight and good money with most saying no. I pick Blake to best McKinnon then look for some international opponents of note being imported to fight Blake.
3. Berridge and Caparello won't fight again (unless its huge circumstances) as they will be entering sparring camps together and helping each other prepare.

Berridge v Mackinnon is suppose to be the on the Tua v Ustinov card i reckon if i does happen and Berridge wins he should get a rematch with Caparello

I am a big Berridge fan but i dont think a win over McKinnon will get him a rematch with Caperello.
It wasnt really a close fight and caperello seems to have moved forward since with his recent with over green and capturing the IBO title.
I would prefer a berridge v broudhurst rematch first.

It's good Mackinnon and Berridge are finally fighting, just a shame the NZ light heavyweight title isn't up for grabs.

Would make sense to fight for the NZPBA Light-Heavy Title also but I guess end of the day the winner can still lay claim to being NZ's best Light-Heavy.
