JAMES DEGALE AS AN ANALYST

If you took away 'er...', 'like' and premade boxing cliches from James Degale's vocabulary, would he have anything to say at all?
His 'analysis' and 'expertise' is incomprehensibly bad. Unbroadcastable.
Buncie, that giant BBC fella, Johnny Nelson, Glenn McCrory step aside... There's a new boy in town.

degale would stand most fighters in this country on their head and he comes across relaxed and interested also. I'm happy to hear what he has to say......it wasn't Donaire Rigo in there it was a 6'9" fighter getting decked then propping up an exhausted bloke 3 stone lighter with his arm before knocking him out. Do you want him to have a degree and talk like Claire Balding instead?? Get a fcking grip he's a kid from London who someone stuck a pair of boxing gloves on, get over it....

Yeah but to be fair Groves is a kid from london who stuck on a pair of gloves and he's far more articulate than Degale is.

Not the best choice for tonight, especially as a lone 'expert' with a lot of time to fill.

I didn't hear it, but I expect a colour commentator to be interesting and incisive. Not every fighter suits it.

No need to bring race into this.

what's him being coloured got to do with anything? Christ Live Boxing on a Channel 5 from Madison Square Garden and people come out crying cos James Degale doesn't talk posh enough. You understood him, yes?

some people just don't like to see a brother doing well
no I'd never heard of a colour commentator but we were having fun. James Degale is a talented operator, I'm shocked when some people who've just watched a show on Terrestrial tele come out and whinge without just cause.

He's not of a good enough standard to be broadcast on television - it's just too painful listening to him struggle to express himself - he even grimaces as he tries to talk. He doesn't seem to have any original thoughts of his own, just a few meaningless boxing cliches. That's not 'analysis'.
Please someone quick, give him a book!

I didn't think he was too bad. He hasn't got the skills to make everything sound beige a la Nelson/McCrory.

Not sure if people here are being sarcastic but we all know what a colour commentator is right!?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_commentator
Anyway, DeGale was awful and I only came online to see if other people felt the same way. Fury is utter shite and DeGale was too busy sucking him off to tell the truth. Classic moment is saying he has a "great chin"
WHAT?!
What an utter joke and trash like this, the very fact an awful clubbing fighter like Fury is perceived to be a fighter of note is why I have gone from mail ordering every magazine, recording every single fight on TV and cataloguing them, attending every big bill I can to watching about one fight per two or three months.
This sport has become a farce.
