somebody in the comments says not a fan of Haye but would love to see him knock out Fury. How the hell could somebody dislike Haye but dislike Fury more?
I'd love to see Tyson win if they fought but I could see Haye in 2-4 rounds. Bash him to the body, get up close, take him on the ropes. That is how I envisage this fight would go. Fury wouldn't be in there long enough to make his weight tire Haye out imo.

I dont see Haye bashing Fury to the body and getting up close and taking him onto the ropes. That isnt how Haye fights. On top of that being up close with Fury would be a disadvange to Haye with Fury's weight advantage. I think Haye would keep it on the outside and look for counters and wait for Fury to make a mistake like he will do and then put him on his arse!

Hope it happens this year, Hayes a better fighter and I'd fancy him to win but I really can't see him knocking fury out early like many think.

Fury's bravado would make him want to engage and I don't think Haye would allow himself to get outmuscled by Tyson Fury. Haye is far more athletic that Fury, and stronger imo. He wouldn't give a toss about getting up close with Fury at all where he could let some serious power shots go that would knock the wind out of Tyson.

That isnt how Haye fights though. When he fought Chisora who likes to fight on the inside and use his strength he kept it at range.

Haye would be very cagey initially. I'd back him to land at some point, but Fury will be dangerous. It would be a very good fight, imo.

I wonder what would have happened if Valuev had charged in and tried to brawl/grab Haye similar to how Fury fought at the weekend?

I suspect Haye would have struggled to bounce around on the back foot for the whole 12 rounds if it had gone like this, but may have caught Valuev earlier in the fight with a counter and potentially could have stopped him.

Instead Valuev allowed it to turn into a boxing match, and the 100lbs difference in weight never became a factor in the fight.

No way Mick will let it happen though. Obviosuly haye and Booth would love it to happen. Easiest money they could earn.

It just will not happen this side of fury fighting k2, Tyson himself is the only one who thinks he has a chance, there's no way both hennesey or tyson's trainer can be as delusional as there fighter. It will be the easiest £3M haye ever makes if the fight gets made !

Surely it could make Fury just as much, if not more, than a clash with either Klitschko?

Mickey, no need to try and twist it given I clearly meant it with reference to the "easy money" element - I think Haye gets Fury out of there early doors quite comfortably.

I'd love to see this fight happen, I love an all British clash and this is one that would get a lot of headlines

I'd pick Haye to beat Fury, but it's far from an easy fight for him. Tyson's durable and he likes to make his opponent fight for every second of every round, something Haye doesn't like doing.

Isn't Haye associatd to Sky though?? If so there could be some broadcasting obstacles to over come before it's signed, it would be great to see this fight go out on Channel5 and reach a massive audience, but I can't see how they'd afford the money to get this fight on.

To be fair they have made a lot of fights where they back down and give up some control in order to make the big fights.

Enzo Macc - Fighting on another promoters bill.
Mormeck - Going away from home to take on a champion.
Valuev - Same as above.

If Mr Maloney is to be believed, then he spoke with Fury's promoter and asked can we sit down and try and negotiate a deal for Price v Fury to take place. This was around the time Fury fought Johnson I think and obviously before Price lost. And the answer according to Mr Maloney was no, we won't even sit and negotiate.

I can't see how team Fury are going to from not even being willing to negotiate to probably having to accept a few demands in terms of money, TV, location etc etc in order to make a big domestic dust up. I can't think of many times that fighters promoted by Hennessy have given up much to make big fights. There's Froch in the super 6 but obviously the majority of those fights were agreed before that started and there was Froch v Taylor and there (and I may have remembered incorrectly here) I think Taylor's people won the purse bid.

In my opinion Hennessy is an excellent promoter. He has (since I have been watching boxing) put on excellent bills and he regularly gets his fighters home advantage by winning purse bids in domestic title fights, European title fights and World title fights. However there comes a time when you have to sit down and negotiate and give up a bit of ground in order to make the very biggest fights and I can't think of a time during his World title winners reigns when this has happened except for the Super 6 with Froch and it was obvious that Froch would make far more money from being in the Super 6 than not being in it. Obviously you can argue that Fury was a way ahead of Price in terms of development and ranking but if that is the case then sit down and negotiate yourself a more favourable deal money wise using that bargaining tool.

This was my thought as well. Other than Haye - and Povetkin if the purse bid is genuine, I've never seen anyone who's fought ethier Klit get more than $1.3 million(solis) £900K ish. If Haye and Fury fought it would bound to be PPV and a stadium fight. Fury would definitly get more than £900k. Maloney was talking big money for a fight with Price,so a Haye would be much more.

Didn't Povetkin's promoter lay down some insane purse bid this week of something like $24m, outbidding K2 by $14m? Povetkin gets 25% and Wlad 75% as he's the "super champion" (normally a mandatory usually means a 50/50 split on the purse bids).
