Does anyone else find it irritating saying that isn't it great they are fighting at Madison Square Garden when they are fighting at the Theatre not the 20,000+ arena. They are 2 different things altogther! Both Khan and Fury have said this but whilst housed in the same complex they are hardly the same thing... or am I just being pedantic. The Theatre is less inpressive than the Excel!

How many does the theater seat for boxing? Didn't seem many there at all for the Fury fight.

I have to say I was a bit surprised they were going to take a guy who can just about sell out a cattle shed in Somerset (with local guys on the bill) and within a few fights sell out Madison Sq Garden - it all became clear when the broadcast started!

Having seen big fights at both the theatre and the main arena, there is no doubt that boxing to a full house in the main arena is 'big time'...however, history dictates that MSG is the mecca of boxing and whether you are boxing in either of the venues it would fulfill the ambition of any boxer.

But surely that's like saying if you have played a 5-aside game at wembley arena that's the same as playing in front of 90,000 at wembley stadium, totally different.

i am now a huge fury fan
maybe the biggest in the states

that fight made america and new york
fall in love with the big guy

he will sell out the main arena at msg one day
hopefully soon
i still feel he will fight the winner of arreola vs stiverne
for the soon to be vacant wbc title

he gets a belt he will become a superstar

Macklin vs Martinez

Forrest vs Mosely

Quartey vs Carr

If Fury managed to get all the way to a world title and defend it a few times, we could look back on his fight at MSG where he got knocked down in the 2nd, rocked again a little later, had a point deducted but came through it and won, as a historic fight.
