I know basically nothing about Hugo Corro, but I can't imagine he would've had any sort of hard time with Tony Danza. $55,000 would've probably been worth it for what I gotta assume would've been a very easy night's work.

Il Duce wrote:Gilga-Mesh,

Tony Danza went on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

They were talking about his boxing career, and Tony said he would was going to both 'Box' and stay
acting on 'Taxi'. He said he thought after a couple of bouts, he could get a Middleweight Title bout.

Johnny Carson asked him if he was any good. And Tony said he had a record of 11-2-0 with 11 KO's,
and that was without really putting any effort into it, other than a couple of days training.

Tony said, 'I can punch with anybody in the Middleweight Division, and that if I had a good
trainer and proper sparring, I could be a Top 10 Middleweight within a year. My goal is to
fight for the Middleweight Championship in 1980.'

He was serious. And Johnny Carson said he didn't even know who the Middleweight Champions was.

Tony responded with, 'Hugo Corro. Can you believe a Middleweight Champion with the name Hugo.
He has the same name as my Italian Tailor."

The audience laughed.

Johnny Carson, 'How would you do against him Tony.'

Tony Danza, 'If I could hit him, I'm sure I would knock him out. I can punch pretty good'.
It's an interesting little factoid about Tony Danza I'll grant you that.

I'd love to hear from Max Hord himself about how good Tony Danza actually was. Especially since he's on the board as we speak.

In fact, I'd love to hear Max Hord speak about his own career in Florida and some of his name fights. He had an interesting career.

Danza would've gotten thoroughly outclassed.
