Fury and the WBC (contains a spoiler of Arreola v Sitverne)

Stiverne beat Arreola tonight. Put him on his backside in the third and then won a widish decision.
I really think it would be wise for Fury's team to go this route rather than Pulev, and then defend the belt against the best guys out there. I think Pulev is too good, certainly wayyyyyyy better than Stiverne who's a bit of a plodder with better than average skills, basically better than average in most areas. Not sure if Fury has given up his ranking with WBC or not but just my take on it.

Fury will probably lose to both of them!

I disagree I think Fury would be able to use his height and workrate far more effectively against Stieverne than he would be able to against Pulev.

Stiverne surprised me tonight, he showed great handspeed and has power, he would keep
Fury down if Fury fought like he did against Cunningham.
I want to know what the ruckus was about between Don King and that woman in the ring.

It was on the HBO telecast straight after the Martinez coverage.

Either Pulev or Stiverne would stop Fury.

Pleased that Stiverne has finally made a breakthrough. I thought he was one to watch after his blowout of Kerton Manswell, even though Manswell's subsequent KO losses diluted the achievement considerably.

Well Vitali isn't fighting again is he so Fury could get a shot at Stiverne for the vacant title or the title that Stiverne gets handed.

Peter Fury said in our interview, that he is only interested in three fights for Tyson and that is David Haye, Kubrat Pulev, and Vladimir Klitschko. However, he did say if things don't go quite their way in negotiations, they will try and get Tyson ranked in the top 5 in all the organisations so there be no choice at all but to force mandatory challenge on Klitschko.

Either Stiverne will fight Vitali, or Vitali retires and the WBC will just give the title to Stiverne. He could then defend against Fury, but he'd already be champion.

I will tell you right now that Wlad will be one corner when that WBC comes up for grabs.
Prob Haye in the other.

Nope. Stiverne fight Vitali or he will inherit the title - the WBC have done it before, it's in their rules and everything.

He won't have to fight Wlad - Wlad has no sway with the WBC, he holds the other belts so is excluded from their rankings. Vitali cannot dictate what happens to his belt after he vacates.
Don King and the WBC have a long history, it will be Stiverne versus the usual Don King challengers.
Perhaps John Ruiz will be exhumed.

No, but it'll be by far the biggest purse he will receive. Two easy defences and then Wlad.

Won a little bit on Stiverne last night, there is always the concern his chin was going to let him down, that early loss in his career still sticks in the memory. But i was impressed with him last night, stuck to his game plan well, and showed a new level of movement and punch output not seen before.
He was really digging in the body shots, nice left hooks downstairs and up again.
