Think khan will lose next fight so can't see it happening!

After that effort on Saturday they might look for another feather fisted lightweight like Molina.

If it did happen I would be supporting Mayweather.

If by any chance Khan did beat him (which I don't think would happen ever) I just could not imagine what that would do to his ego. It's not worth thinking about.

Mayweather hugely and he would stop Khan in my opinion. Khan is so easy to hit it's unreal. Imagine how many times Floyd would pot shot him.

Mayweather or Ellerbe usually mention their intention to box in the U.K to the British media in the lead up to one of his fights...

I was surprised so many people reckoned Khan had improved in Saturday's fight. I thought he'd regressed and quite alarmingly in many ways. His punches just didn't have any pop and at no stage did he have Diaz in any degree of trouble. His defence was as bad if not worse than ever. His chin looked as bad as ever also. The only thing you could say is that he seems to have learnt how to survive a bit better but he was still getting drawn into a scrap quite often and against an honest but in no way world class fighter in Diaz.

In my view, he'd be stopped again by Garcia and any talk of Mayweather is just farcical at the moment. Would be a total mismatch.

Yes, judging by Saturday night it is hard to make him a favourite against any of the current belt holders. It's more a question of who can he beat now?! Even a Maidana rematch may be preferable to getting undone against Garcia and Peterson again. Clearly Mayweather is not a realistic goal anymore. If the best is really behind him now I was thinking that he hasn't achieved as much as Hatton did in the pros. He lacks a signature win.

I actually think we would see the best of khan in a fight like this, yes he'd lose because mayweather is the man, but khan has been a favourite for every fight he's ever had. I just think it would be interesting to see how he performs when his ego and everyone around him isn't telling him he's a level above his opponent.

Sometimes fighters who are carry a glaring flaw can get built up do far, but ultimately the more rounded elite fighters find them out. There clearly is a level now above Khan.

Khan had a massive fanbase when he started. Due to neglecting his roots, he has niether a fanbase here or in the states

Mayweather would not come to the UK to fight. Why should he? He doesn`t need to move outside the U.S.

I think Khan would actually have a chance against Mayweather. Floyd is a defensive genius, but rarely goes looking for the knockout. If Khan kept it long, he might pick up rounds on workload alone.

It would be a long shot, but he`s have a better chance than most others in the division.

I`d like to see Frankie Gavin against Khan.

Ricky Hatton kept saying Mayweather would never knock him out, but Billy Graham kept reigning him in and telling him that at the level Floyd is at, then he can definitely punch hard.

Whilst Khan might be more of a name than most on these shores, I can only really see Kell Brook having any sort of chance at welter in the UK at this moment in time.

Watching Amir on Saturday, go life at death with an unheralded Julio Diaz, made me think straight away that he has no business with a top tier 147lb fighter - let alone an elite fighter like Floyd.

I didn't give Pacquiao more than a puncher's chance against Floyd and give Khan absolutely no chance whatsoever in this hypothetical fight.

Floyd could pull his punches and carry Khan - and would still knock him out by accident. He hits too accurately and too often for Amir to deal with in any shape or form I'm afraid for someone with that kind of chin/overall punch resistance to live with more than 2-3 rounds.

Its like when journalists ask Pele who going to win world cup his answer varies per country he is in.

Interesting article above although it may just be bluster by Golden Boy. If he does come to the UK to fight then I could only really see it being against Khan as who else is there apart from Brook and it'd have to be against a UK fighter I'd have thought. If the fight did take place then Floyd would stop Khan, I'm convinced of it.

I would be cheering for Khan, but I don't think he has any shot. I don't agree that he has regressed, only that his attempt to become more effective defensively has nullified the thing he did well. His sheer speed and punch variety puts a lot of fighters into their shells, and makes his fights exciting. Boxing defensively doesn't appear to make him any more resistant to knockdowns, but does remove the excitement, and the chance of him turning it the other way against anyone really decent. If he fought Floyd, I'd like to see him go death or glory, old-school Khan, darting in and blazing huge combinations. I'd cheer all the way til he got stopped, and even though he definitely would get stopped, it'd be a hell of a fun fight while it lasted. Floyd wouldn't be able to simply take it easy and win on points, he'd have to go through the gears, and when he does, he's brilliant to watch too, and would undeniably win. If Khan tried to box, chances are Mayweather sits back, picks him off, and doesn't take any interest in making a decent fight of it.

Imagine Goldenboy had to work with Matchroom.
Khan v Mayweather
Burns v Broner
Bellew v Hopkins
Frampton, Rees, Barker and Froch v Goldenboy fighters.

The line up above is the most unrealistic show ever but imagine it happened. £100 would be the cheapest seat in the house and £50 PPV. Haha

What's Khan v Mayweather the mythical match up got to do with Matchroom ?

If Khan vs Floyd ever happens Khan may have a good shot. Mayweathers not exactly a big puncher (although he has enough to clean Khans clock) and by mid/late 2014 he's gonna be pretty old. Khan will have a significant speed advantage. He could win rounds convincingly against Mayweather. If he was still with Roach i'd certainly fancy his chances, but this new approach with Hunter has watered down what he's good at, and in turn his defence isn't any better. He needs to forget about turning himself into some kind of Andre Ward offensive hyrbid, go back to Roach, get in, unload, and get out.

As khan is with golden boy, mayweather works with Goldenboy so if they fight in the UK then they are gonna need an undercard and therefore very likely to work with a uk promoter. That surely makes sense.

Assuming mayweather is true to his word that he wants to fight in the uk then who else is he likely to fight apart from khan. Wether we like it or not, the fight would be huge. One sided mis match but huge.

The only way Khan survives to a Mayweather fight is if it his next fight, which would be possible.

Has Mayweather's next opponent been determined?

Khan is just the type of fighter he has made a career out of fighting/.

Christ, he's practically bought 'greatness' picking and choosing people with no hope of winning.

Brook would be a better opponent BUT Mayweather would see it as more dangerous, imo.
