Colorful ring announcer from Texas..

I'm trying to recollect the name of an extremely colorful ring announcer from Texas, maybe 20-30 years ago.
I think the guy may have been from San Antonio, but not sure.
Does anybody know who I am trying to remember?
p.s. I'm thinking the first name of this fellow was Dave, but not entirely sure. I'm thinking he had a radio/tv background in TX.
