Ridiculous arrogance from Khan. I bet Mayweather would jump at the chance to take on a man who would sell a fair few tickets and would be flat on his back bloody quickly.

There isn't a word of arrogance from Khan in that. The only thing that if you were a Kell fan you could say "isn't a name" - well, in all honesty his profile is a lot smaller than Khan's right now, both here and Stateside. Also Khan saying he's the only Brit with enough ability to be in the ring with Mayweather - again, more experience. Kell has ability but is a few fights behind.
Mayweather's 36, Khan's not getting any younger...Mayweather generally splits a purse of about 10, 20, 30..million dollars with his opponent. Somebody tell me what the hell is arrogant about Amir Khan wanting to fight this man? Utter horse-sh*t...(excuse the language in the corner there).
Khan's a very likeable personality for me, and believe me there's plenty of arrogant tossers out there. Look at what the guys were saying about him last week on allegedly....Crolla, Price and was that Tony Bellew on the commentary?? It was all good.
Unbelievable Khan bashing goes on on Boxrec.
One thing though, I do hope that idiot on that stupid claxton thingy doesn't turn up at his next fight....just watched it on Youtube again after being in Sheffield last week, so annoying and personally, I don't think in any way intended for the sole purpose of supporting Amir Khan, imho.

It was Paul Smith, who along with Crolla trains in Khan's gym. Bellew(the ingrate) must be the boxer least likely to commentate on any allegedly show.

I definitely think this will happen, possibly Khan's next fight, or he'll be served up a straight forward win later in the year to lead into this. Would sell big in the UK or the States. Decent financial windfall for Golden Boy if they can get Khan this fight, and if he loses he can carry on at 140 still go for world titles, if he loses against Garcia or any other 140 champion at this point I think it would be the end for Khan with Golden Boy, so going this route could give them a bit more longevity out of Khan.

they all just sound like Scousers to me lol
re: proposed match-up, it would be cool if Mayweather came to the UK to box. He's that good he could concede things like home advantage and wouldn't make much difference........he could do a little UK tour like what Ronald "Winky" Wright did that time when he fought 3 fighters in the UK.........how about Amir Khan....Kell Brook and......hmmm "Do you believe the UK is the land of opportunity? Floyd Mayweather does...and he wants to give you a shot at the World Title"....@random fighter....

Khan is deluded, and unlikeable IMO.
This won't happen as no way he will win Dec fight, and with that the door on Money Mayweather's golden ticket slams shut.

Garcia will knock him out again.
Khan's been down that many times he has a cauliflower arse! Easiest fight ever for Mayweather and I think he'll be looking at fighting Kell Brook instead.

I can't even think the Mayweather fight is credible right now when every time Julio Diaz touch
him he was hurt.

Khan doesn't have the whiskers to be in with the top fighters at 140 never mind moving up to 147 to fight the best boxer on the planet - Needs to avenge his losses against Garcia and Peterson before even thinking of a potential shot at Mayweather

No way does he dererve this fight. After his last fight I wouldent even put him in the top 5 140 never mind 147. With his chin I wouldent see him beating any of the following boxers, never mind mayweather:
Garcia
Peterson
Rios
Matthysse
Alvarado
marquez
bradely
pac-man
Provodnikov
broner

Not sure if its arrogance or just a fine display of good old unintelligence.

I don't really mind who Mayweather fights in the UK, I'd just like to see the guy fight in the flesh as I think he's a genius in the ring.
The most likely opponent would be Khan if he gets through his December fight but I really can't seem him beating Garcia based on the fight with Diaz last week where he was clinging on for dear life against a non-puncher. If I were Khan's camp I'd keep him out of Garcia's way and go straight for the Mayweather fight just to cash out. It'd sell out a football stadium in the UK and whilst Khan would get the mother and father of beatings he'd make more money in that fight than he probably has in his whole career so far.

But would he? We know Mayweather doesn't like to give up money to opponents and that Team Khan over value his worth somewhat so I could see it being a stalemate and Floyd fighting somebody else. I personally think that Floyd could fight anyone over here and sell out.

And that's why allegedly outbid Sky for his fight. He might sell out the O2 on his own, but to box in the UK, he'd want to be filling Wembley.
Bottom line is Mayweather needs opponents, Showtime flew Khan to Las Vegas to be part of their team for last night and that only happens if they are building him up as an opponent.

If Khan wants to be worthy of a fight with Floyd he really should have looked more impressive against the likes of Julio Diaz & Danny Garcia. Terrible performances from someone whose publicity machine had been saying from the start how brilliant he was going to be. Is he really entitled to a fight with the world no.1?

Even if Floyd pulled his punches, to carry Khan a few rounds, he would still knock him out by accident.
Khan's punch resistance is horrible.
To see him life and death, hanging on for the bell against a Mediocre fighter like Diaz, also shows his stamina is abysmal as well.
I will honestly be surprised if bookies even give odds on this fight.
Matt Hatton was being lined up for Floyd at one point, and after his Alvarez showing, I'd give him ten times the chance of Amir - and that's being kind.
Unless Khan rattles off wins over Alexander and Garcia, I can only condemn this fight, because its a 2-round job at best.
Khan's team don't care about him, he's going to end up eating his Sunday dinner through a straw if he goes 147lb. They're just milking him like pariah's.

amir khan definatly has the speed to trouble mayweather for first few rounds but would either be stopped by 9th round or a wide ud if mayweather takes it easy, he gets tagged too much and against the best counter puncher in the game would get disheartended and broken up i dont like the way khan talked about mayweather before peterson and garcia fights would i think had a little contrabution to him losing those fights i think if khan boxed garcia and peterson again he'd have a real chance if he boxed and not fought, im not the biggest khan fan but think he gets a little too much stick on here. khan v mayweather would be massive over here love him or hate him he can sell tickets here and in america.

There is no way this would be a two-round job, because that completely ignores the way Mayweather boxes. Khan would start fast, Mayweather would try and pick him off and push on from halfway. The only time Mayweather stopped someone inside six rounds in the past 15 years was Ortiz, who he suckerpunched.

I like Khan and think he gets a lot of unnecessary grief.
He isn't the sharpest tool in the box though and I think this contributes a lot to some of the perceived arrogance.

Khan fights for money every bit as much as Mayweather does.
Khan was once a shy well mannered boy, who tried to please everyone and has ended up displeasing most. In fairness He suffered a few racist jealousies online which he took to heart. He also started acting like a prrick as he grew up acting like a big shot, driving cars too fast too regularly for it to be excused, womanising, doing Hajj one minute being caught in a hot tub with 2 blonde slappers the next.
In the ring right now he is suffering delusions if he thinks he tripped against Diaz and he was deluded before the peterson and garcia debacles if he thought he was in pac and mayweathers class back than.
In fairness he has the heart of a lion, perhaps one of the bravest men i have ever seen step in the ring , he has huge confidence that he can win any fight and therefore on that basis since Mayweather is suddenly gonna do 6 fights in 2 and a half years for big money, I say why not Khan even right now. If Khan beats Garcia in December than Khan deserves a Mayweather shot in my book.
Khan has more good than bad in him. But i really think he needs to get the Garcia thing done with asap.
Peterson i felt it was very very close but Khan was deprived a second knockdown and fight was a draw. Prescott? well he should have rematched that guy, and he should be fighting 3 times a year not twice and a quick rematch with Prescott should have been done a good few years ago. Right now Prescott is just going to ask for silly money.
