Hi Guys, full report of the big fight here in Glasgow, Scotland along with the full undercard report. I think you will see in the report how a fight can be viewed from Ringside but be different from what you watch on TV.
At ringside i had Ricky winning after 9
After getting home and watching on TV i had Gonzalez winning after 9.
Gonzalez just QUIT and refused to put in his gum shield
Hope you all like the undercard report as i feel its important to report on them too as not many guys in the boxing world do this.
All reports in my site.............

88-84 Gonz
Don't know how anyone could have Burns winning; must be the fools who give extra points when the crowd cheers loudly.
Even 86-85 Gonz is generous to Burns.

i was there and was alot off the undercard fights were competitive, is it a case of the matchmaking geting better or are the scots boys pretty average? , when i used to go to shows regualr they home fighter usually had no problems at all.
Choi didnt conduct himself very well after the fight, storming out the ring booted a betfair advertisment from the apron and was gesturing the crowd , really dont know why he thought he was robbed

At ringside when the Burns fight finished someone came round to say that the TV people had Gonzalez well in front. We couldn't believe it. We all certainly had it close and wouldn't have argued if Gonzalez had been a round up . Gonzalez certainly surrendered. He was exhausted and disheartened and would have been stopped had he continued. Broken hand/wrist - no chance!
Watched the fight again on TV Sunday morning and only gave Burns rounds 8 and 9. First round couldn't separate them , the remainder to Gonzalez. My score would then be 88-84 Gonzalez.
I was disappointed in Brophy and Slowey. Brophy seems one dimensional. Moves forward and back in straight lines , and can't seem to move to the side. No head movement whatsoever. When Boulden moved round the ring poor Brophy was lost.
I think Slowey underestimated his opponent and I also suspect that he had no sparring due to previous eye damage in his last fight. The eye leaked again in this fight.

So you must have been looking away when David was hitting him with flush left hooks, hooks to the body and right uppercuts.
That was a great learning fight for David in what was.
A. His first 6 rounder.
B. First real big show, learning how to handle nerves.
C. Toughest opponent yet who had previously been the southern area champion.
D. Only David 8th fight I think.
