0:29 * Oh! That last shot has opened a cut on Fitzsimmons because there's blood flowing from somewhere. 5:4
0:29 The blood if flowing freely and it's evident that the gash is located outside his right eyebrow. 5:4
0:29 * Garry is taking a close look at the blood trickling down Fitzsimmons's face; and now he steps in and stops the contest. Apparently, he wants the doctor to take a look at the damage done to Fitzsimmons's face, especially the cut above the eye. 5:4
0:29 * The doctor is peering at the wound and he's shrugged his shoulders and he's shaking his head - is that a good thing or bad? Well, it's good from Fitzsimmons's perspective and the cheer that arises from the crowd tells us all we need to know: there's going to be more fisticuffs in just a moment. Obviously, the damage isn't that bad and Bob Fitzsimmons and Muhammad await the signal from the referee to commence firing. The fight resumes here in Round 10. 5:4

01:31 * Blood is trickling from the cut over Fitzsimmons's eye; it has to be impairing his vision somewhat and it's definitely bothering him if the amount of blinking he's doing is any indication. And it looks like . . . yes . . . Referee Garry is notifying the timekeeper to stop the clock. He wants the doctor at ringside to take a look at Fitzsimmons's facial wound. 7:11
01:31 * The ringside doctor is dabbing at the blood, trying to determine the severity of the wound. He's saying something to the referee and from the reaction of Fitzsimmons, it must be positive. Yep, this fight's going to continue as both fighters receive instructions to resume the mayhem here in round 10. 7:11
