Galindez/Conteh.

Credit to Il Duce for having been the inspiration for me regarding this match-up. What happens?

the very best version of Conteh could win this, anything less than that loses.

Agree, Galindez by something like 144-141 unless Conteh is having a career best day. Conteh had the talent (and jab) to win but I would bet on Galindez unless this were in the UK and Harry Gibbs was the sole judge.

Could see John Conteh holding a slight edge thru 11 Rounds, but nobody was tougher than a
"Prime" Victor Galindez in the later Rounds.


7-5-3 In Rounds.
Marvin Johnson ruined him for the later rounds with bodyshots from memory, not sure whether you could say that was 'peak' Galindez or not though.....

Galindez looked really old and slow vs Johnson. Marvin was great fun to watch because he was a total action fighter and a KO could happen at any time, sometimes with him on the receiving end. A few years earlier I would have bet on Galindez to win but Johnson took care of business that night.
