Last nights Prizefighter, in my opinion, was one of the poorest yet. Uninspiring line-up, poor action and almost zero crowd participation.

Prizefighter gobbles up about 6 of Matchrooms 20 live dates on SKY Sports. Has the format run its course? Would you rather see Matchroom use these 6 dates to showcase fighters lower down in the pecking order of their stable in English, British, Commonwealth and European title fights? I think Matchroom do great arena shows however what has been missing on SKY is great 50/50 domestic fights in front of rabid fans at venues like York Hall.

If you subscribe to SKY Sports, what do you want to see on TV? Prizefighter or domestic level action from Matchroom?

I think it just needs better matchmaking.

Prizefighter has run it course especially when you did same divisions more than once

It can't be done over and over; there aren't enough televised shows to push the winners or runners up to the next level; it has lost the 'Rocky' feel and is on as filler; it feels like a cheap show. I'd sooner see a competitive UK card with eliminators and good matches that push the boxers on and get exciting fighters some wider exposure.

I read that Eddie Hearn was struggling to find dates for his growing stable of fighters,maybe they need to scrap PF

The early Prizefighters were excellent. There have just been too many of them since.

They shouldn't though, how can winning a 3 round fight get you a title fight, it's not even professional boxing.

Exactly my thoughts.

People will argue that fans are still buying tickets for the shows, and pack out venues when Prizefighter is on. I'm not debating this. I'm suggesting it is time for Prizefighter to be dropped off the TV schedule. Matchroom can keep Prizefighter running if they want, for me it doesn't need to be given any TV time.

As a SKY Sports subscriber I do not want to watch Prizefighter. If Prizefighter is taking up 6 of Matchrooms 20 live dates per year, that's only leaving me 14 shows to enjoy. That works out at a show every 26 days. I'm sorry but this is not a good enough return in terms of what I pay my subscription fee for.

If SKY want to keep my custom, they must do better. It's not like there aren't any other channels showing boxing. I really thought the arrival of allegedly would push SKY to show the biggest and best fights for Britain, and around the world. That simply hasn't happened.

I can't believe the amount of money they throw at it. The Matchroom website confirms each show has a total prize fund of £80,000. That means over 6 shows Matchroom are offering a total prize fund of £480,000. I just think there are better shows that Matchroom could be putting on for that type of money.

More money = better fighters. Only way forwards for this.

It doesn't have to end, but 6 Prizefighters a year is too much.

I suspect that on most bills the majority of fighters have real aspirations of winning. Prizefighter however is the only show where most fighters will openly admit they are either doing it purely for the money, or one last shot at the big time.

One of the reasons I don't go to many shows is the cards are filled with 6-0 fighters against 7-37 fighters. I don't enjoy that kind of fight.

I would love to see a Prizefighter of all debutants.

No doubt if a boxer or 2 got heavily KO,d in their debut the PC Brigade would be out in force claiming Matchroom had ruined their careers,and theyd maybe even have a point but at the end of the day its the fighters choice if they want to take that chance,fairly high risk=fairly high reward,id watch

It goes against the very bedrock of boxing - Debutants are supposed to win and are typically matched easy.

As for the format, I don't like it and never have but then it's not marketed at me, it's marketed at casual fans who know nothing (or little) about boxing.
