It's stop and start at the minute, he promised all sorts before the last bout and just did not deliver; he'd better get his game plan right else he'll get beat, that man weren't afraid, was not intimidated and came back very well. I feel Bellew should conserve his energy for the bout.

I agree - I have just read an article in the Liverpool Echo "Bellew stands by his "willing to die in the ring" claim ahead of his rematch with Isaac Chilemba".

Apart for the misguided words used, he doesn't actually fight like a boxer who is willing to take a risk never mind go out on his shield.

This dates back to his ABA final that he lost against Danny Price where he looked hesitant to commit against a boxer with power, and has been evidenced as a pro since his fights with Ajisafe and McKenzie.

I am not knocking Bellews performances, but when you compare them to how he talks before the fight they don't live up to expectations.

I know that Bellew is very critical of Tyson Fury, but at least with Fury you get a totally commited fighter who delivers exciting fights.

Boomer talks a good fight (despite tbe grating whiny accent) but still has it to do for me. He fought a great fight against
Cleverly, but hasn't kicked on since then.

Just hope he can get through the post fight interview with a bit more class than last time and without saying "proud scouser" or "liverpuuuuul has the best fans in the weeeeeeeerld"

Bit of a shame really. Boomer has always been very likeable on here and gained himself lots of fans. Unfortunately he feels he needs to act like a nob once the cameras are on him or somebody wants a quote, to sell a fight.
And I agree that he is hardly a fighter you would associate with 'willing to die' in the ring. I liked the way Steve Collins dismissed Eubank saying it about him - stupid statement to make once, let alone repeat it after a timid performance

Don't think there's an argument really judging on the last showing - Chilemba won that with clean counterpunching, better ring generalship and a slick defense - Bellew couldn't do a thing with him after round 4.

Apparently Isaac was very close to pulling out of the first fight with flu, which might explain his slow start on the night as he may not have trusted his own conditioning, but he got stronger as the rounds went on.

Very tough rematch this for Tony imo, he needs to show skills and workrate that he's never displayed before, or he'll be getting a boxing lesson again

For sure, I'm liking the fact Chilemba is a betting underdog for this. Can't really see a Boomer win here, Chilemba made him look utterly clueless at times and if that flu rumour is true, I might have a little bet on a stoppage. Chilemba must now know he has little to fear from Boomer and might commit to his shots a bit more

Maybe I`m wrong, but I think this fight may be even worse than the first. Hope not.

My money is on Goonie monster head shaped Isac. With a noggin like that he deserves a win.

Whatever happens I hope to see Boomer going for it in this fight. Only an impressive win will warrant him calling out "the lad from the valleys". Despite admitting he lost that Cleverely fight on the night, he has since retracted it and appears to think he should have got the decision.

The Cleverely fight was great and showed what Boomer is capable of. We need to see a repeat.

Bellew says it was Chilemba’s negative tactics which made for a boring fight.

“I expected a really hard fight, I expected the fight of my life because he matches so well up to me.

“But I can’t help it if someone doesn’t want to know and doesn’t want to fight me. It takes two to make a great fight and you can’t do it on our own. But I have suffered because of that. I’ll never go into a fight again saying it’s going to be a great fight.

“I get in with these guys and hit them for the first time and they don’t want to know. Roberto Bolonti did it and it happened with Chilemba.

“Chilemba didn’t want to know in the first six rounds. That’s the spoiling tactics these fighters are going to use but I am going to have to be wise and adapt to them now. I’m really gutted for the fans at home because it was a stinking fight. I’m gutted because they paid good money and I am really sorry. But I hope they understand that I wanted to make it a fight.”
